3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle and served in no-nik glass: Pours a clean straw hue with produced a long lasting fizzy head and left good lace. The aroma does display a nice resiny, fruity and even slightly dank hop note along with some pale malt, hint of corn, and a some light spice. The taste is lightly "lagery" yeast dominated with the hops very much in play however. Solid piny and fruity notes along with some pepper. The mouth feel is brisk and refreshing, a bit "tinny" on the finish. Overall, color me surprised for I liked this much more than I would have guessed. Exceeded expectations. Even more hoppy than a uber fresh Noble Pils was.

what do i think? you’re nuts .. . deep gold .. great head and lacing .. nice solid dose of hops .. . quite clean for a SA product .. very impressive beer, why can’t all lagers have this solid a dose of hops! .. . . they’re abandoned! We think it’s a winner.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle.Clear amber gold with a big off white head. Clean malty base, with bitter piney and citric hops, followed by a bitter finish. Clean, light, hoppy, refreshing, and cheap (relatively). This beer at this price point is a very awesome thing.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour out of 12 oz bottle, clear orange pour with nice white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, bread, some lemon, touch of some odd stale veggie and cardboard notes when cold, but as it warmed it turned into more spicy and old hops. Taste is a mix of slight spice, grain, biscuit, bread, hints of grass, touch of cardboard and old hops, finishing fairly bitter, slightly dry.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Classic American-looking beer, crystal clear and amber, with just a wisp of a white head. This is an interesting conundrum of a beer ... definitely lagery ... but there’s a swirl of down-right West coast hoppiness in there, too. I could drink lots of this ... (#5037, 5/26/2013)

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
At 5% ABV and with the mild h0pping (despite the brewer’s descripti0n), I’m n0t sure why this is listed as a "Str0ng Pale Lager/Imperial Pils." Still, it’s quite drinkable. I picked this up 0n the way h0me fr0m w0rk t0day at the nearby supermarket. It p0urs a clear, deep golden b0dy with a substantial head that reached the t0p 0f my special Sam Adams glass (Thanks, Gene). Pasty lacing c0ated the glass as I drank. I was expecting s0me str0ng PNW h0p ar0mas, but 0nly received a mild d0sage al0ng with s0me s0ft caramel. It has a thick m0uthfeel. The flav0r has s0me even str0nger caramel in it, s0me light citrus, lem0n zest, and yet lighter pine al0ng with a mild bitterness. By the third b0ttle (aided by a c0uple 0f sh0ts) I was liking it m0re, but I had t0 c0me back t0 earthf0r the rating, hence the middle 0f the r0ad sc0re. It’s neither Imperial n0r Str0ng, but a decent drink.... and lately I ask f0r little else in life. "Yactumsqueegie" t0 the L0SBD. With ap0l0gies f0r my br0ken "0h" key....

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear golden color with a large white head. The aroma is full of pine and resinous hops, as well as a little biscuit malt. The flavor is similar. I get a ton of hop flavor with some nice grapefruit and pine notes. I also get some biscuit malt. The bitterness is about medium and is very high for a pale lager. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
