Appearance: Pours with a nice looking creamy-ish head. The beer is a hazy, dark amber color with particles floating around. The head goes away pretty quickly, and there isn’t much -- if any -- lacing to speak of. Smell: Yeast and pineapple, but primarily? Banana. That’s what I get primarily. I don’t mind that at all though. What a nice smelling beer. Taste/feel: I really only get banana with traces of malt and bubblegum at the end. I don’t mind that at all though, I actually really enjoy it. The feel is seemingly about the same as any other Sam Adams... that relatively thin, watery, and moderately carbonated one. It suits this beer well. This is my first ever dunkelweizen, and I have to say, it tastes super fruity with all the banana -- maybe that’s not what this style’s supposed to be about, but I really do enjoy it. This is the kind of beer your girlfriend or wife would enjoy... it really is that fruity tasting to me. While it is a lot of banana, it’s not overpowering, and that’s why I like it as much as I do. As usual, another solid beer made by Sam Adams. Actually, one of my favorites from them.

Bottle. Pours a slightyl hazy light brown body with a small fizzy off white head that faded to a thin film. The nose is pretty decent, slightly husky and earthy with some light esters of banana. The flavor is a bit thin though, not enough yeastiness or body. The finish is laced with banana and clove. Light to medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. This one isn’t the best.

Bottle. Pours dark with a healthy head. Aromas just like a wheat beer but it seems a bit ’burnt’. Finishes surprisingly easy.

It pours a deep dark brown and leaves the same color body with some amber notes along the edges of the glass. A large one inch foamy white head appears and lasts for a good two minutes. The smell has some wheat and banana up front with a bit of honey in the background. The taste is basically the same with some added spice. The palate is about a medium body with a slight harshness of carbonation. Overall, this is a good beer I’d come back to.

Aroma of bananas. Tastes of wheat and malt. Pleasant, but nothing spectacular. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours reddish-brown with a small white head. Grainy aroma with banana, bubblegum and light chocolate and wheat. Grainy and sweet malt flavor with banana and light spice. Medium bodied with a finish of more grain, banana and light spice.

Part of their "Harvest Collection" 12-pack, brought back from the States by my GF. Pours a slightly hazy, dark amber colour, with a creamy off-white head, decent retention and great lacing. Sweet caramel nose at first, but becomes bread-like, with malt aromas, hints of bananas and nuts. Eventually, coffee comes out with the roasted malt. Medium-bodied, with a little stick. The taste is milder, like most Sam Adams, with wheat, notes of citrus and cloves. An average malty brew with some darker wheat.

Aroma is pretty stinky with feet and banana. Mouth is medium bodied. Taste is little off. Banana and sugar dominate, but I’m not crazy about it. A little wheat in there too. Not overly clean.

355ml bottle. Hazy, light root beer colour, moderate off white head. Light, fruity aroma, mostly banana and pineapple. Taste is banana, clove, a little pineapple tartness. Very crisp mouthfeel, very easy to drink. Overall, goes down super smooth and fast.

Dull amber in color larger cream head that looks like pasta water about to boil over. Aroma is malts wheat,yeast and a small amount of sour. Wheat forward and very grain or cereal flavored. A very good fall beer.
