The bannana and clove shine through on this beer. A wonderful medly of full bodied flavour. Very smooth as well.

Itís official! I donít like sweet beers. This beer is horrid.... I usually like easy tasting wheat beer but this one isnít good. It also has a cloudy pour and I havenít had a beer that is cloudy to taste good.

Good pour, solid white head, well carbonated. Taste of clove, orange and banana. Also tastes like a cheap imitation of weihenstephaner. If u want a good bavarian wheat beer get it from worlds oldest brewery. Similar in cost, yet weihenstephaner is superior in taste. Disapointed with many of Sam Adams commercial offerings, this wasnít an exception.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
12 oz. bottle. Appearance is amber-orange and cloudy. Head is minimal to non-existent. Aromas of banana, bubblegum, and a hint of nutmeg. Strong flavors of banana and nutmeg. Medium-body with lively carbonation and a strong, slightly dry, finish.
This is not a favorite of mine. The problem isnít that the beer doesnít have any flavor, itís that it has TOO MUCH flavor. There are so many different flavors in this that it just ends up being a bizarre melange that doesnít really work well together.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
I rated this against other Sam Adams beers I have had. I would have to say this is my favorite Sam Adams brew. I wish I could find it in 6 or 12 packs. Has a nice cloudy, deep-orange look with a nice foamy head. Aroma is of banana/clove. I just totally enjoyed this beer and highly recommend this brew, especially if you like Hefes.

Smells like a more interesting/complex hef. Cloudy at the top, but clear at the bottom. A bit bland compared to regular hef. Surprisingly light palate. Nothing really special

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
This is the first "Dunkelweizen" I have had so I am not sure how the beer should or normally does taste, but this isnít the best Sam I have had. I would agree with most of what the others said about how it pours and looks. I donít get any nose and little mouth feel. It does have a good dose of CO2 but only a little of the malt I was expecting it to have.
But, again, I donít know this type of beer so donít take my rating, try it for yourself.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle poured. Hazy orange color with an off-white head. Aroma of hops and citrus. Taste of citrus and bread. Overall, a decent beer, but kind of weak on all fronts.

The only widely distributed domestic dark wheat beer I can find. Keep them coming Sam (maybe all year round in six-packs?)
