Our version of the traditional German Kolsch style is fragrant and complex. The Alsation hop we chose imparts a subtle citrus note. Jasmine Sambac, a night blooming Southeast Asian flower, adds a delicate floral aroma and flavor to this layered and refreshing brew. Cheers!

A pale golden pour with white head. The aroma has light floral and white grape notes along with some wheat. The light body has a somewhat thin texture and lively carbonation. The taste is crisp and refreshing with faint bitterness in the finish.

Purchased at Binny’s in Chicago, IL; enjoyed on a rooftop deck celebrating my 30th b-day! Unfortunately I didn’t have an opportunity to have tasting notes for this one, and I did drink straight from the bottle, but from what I remember this was the best tasting kolsch I’ve had to date! Just really really crisp and enjoyable, nearly perfect summer brew and I hope to enjoy again soon.

Bottle at my dads. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of lemon. Light bodied with steady carbonation. Nice pale malt backbone with notes of biscuit and citrus, and a good amount of herbal hop bitterness for a kolsch. Pretty nice for a summer beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours a pale golden color with a huge white quickly fading head. It has a floral ,bread and cereal aroma. It has a nice clean lager taste with the complexity of an ale. It has a floral taste and a bread taste with some cereal, citrus and spice. This is a very refreshing summer beer. I haven’t had enough kolschs to know if its true to style but I like this beer.

UPDATED: APR 9, 2012 12oz bottle into Sam Adams dorky glass. Filtered pale yellow tan. Clean, floral, almost perfumish, delicate aroma. Not perfect, but a pretty decent Kolsch. Mellow, doughy malt tones. Orange citrus hop balance. Quite soft on the palate and easy drinking. Some light pear notes, this is a decent interpretation for sure, better than I would’ve expected. Less Kolschy the more I drink it, but still a pretty cool beer, simple and sublime.

This came out of the summer sampler and was by far the best of the bunch. Would rather have this as their summer seasonal than their summer brew. Nice white head on the pour, smell is biscuity and fruit with some spice. Flavor is somewhat hoppy and sweet. Nice and refreshing; could drink a few of these.

I like this beer. Great appearance with crystal clear color and very decent head. Nice crisp flavor with a smooth finish. A refreshing beer that I wished they sold year round.

Pours an average cheddar orange with a pleasant aroma of light honey, light citrus, and a touch of dewy grass. Flavor is a bit of grassy biscuit with a light swath of citrus and honey in the finish. Average mouthfeel. Not bad; not COMPLEX but certainly not dull. Simple and refreshing. I’ll buy more of this.
