This rich and luscious brew indulges in flavor with over 28Ibs of pumpkin per barrel, for a full bodied sweetness and deep russet color. Classic pumpkin pie spices of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice ignite a warmth and spark thatís deepened by an undercurrent of roasty smoked malts. The result is a delectable brew full of enveloping layers of flavor and spice. At Samuel Adams we love experimenting. This series of limited edition brews represents some of our favorite small batch creations. Style: Pumpkin Beer Hops: East Kent Goldings, Fuggle Malts: Samuel Adams Two-Row Pale Malt Blend, Caramel 60, Special B, Smoked Malt Extras: Real Pumpkin, Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Allspice

Initially released on tap as "Double Pumpkin" in 2011, it was bottled as "Fat Jack Double Pumpkin" in 2012.

Trying it out from an yr aged bottle: from a distance in bottle roasted pumpkin seeds, pumpkin a little spice and ale in smell. In glass smell seems fruity and a tad spiced/pumpkin like. 2-3 finger head dark red look. Taste wise dunno how it differs from a fresh bottle but a little pumpkin taste with a bit of the spices in taste maybe more cinnamon and a cold ale taste, but truthfully it reminds me of a fruity(plum ect) Belgum high % beer. Itís good even if it doesnít seem 100% pumpkin and spiced like. I canít taste the alcohol but can tell some early on. Itís good and this review is of a 2014 bottle. Cheerís!!!!

Pours two fingers of head on a dark straw body. The aroma is an excellent blend of spices, just like a good pumpkin pie. The taste plays between bread crust, malty sweetness and mild bitterness to hold it together. Itís complex and quite drinkable. The texture is smooth. One of the better pumpkin beers out there.

Draught at the Yard House, Honolulu, HI. Reddish brown color with a small tan head. Spices, pumpkin, sweet malt and mild metal in the aroma. The flavor is sweet malt, spices, pumpkin and more sweetness. Pumpkin beers just ain't my thing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz. bottle pours a clear copper color with small tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is mostly cinnamon and nutmeg, but not overpowering. Taste is sweet, like a pumpkin pie, with only slight bitterness only in the finish. Body is medium with average carbonation. Iím not a big fan of pumpkin beers. Too many breweries decide they have to do something like this each fall, but this one has its merits, and I may try it again next year.

has a nice cinnamon and nutmeg aroma. Taste is nice blend of pumpkin nutmeg and cinnamon, a nice semi creamy body. One of the better pumpkin beers.

650ml brown bottle. Orange/amber. Dark beige foam. Sweet and spicy nose - big caramel and clove and nutmeg notes. Taste has sweet caramel malt base with nutmeg, slight earth pumpkiny notes and grains. Light spicy aftertaste with some lingering sweetness. Medium bodied. Rich and sweet, pretty nice but not particularly boozy for itís strength. A good fall pumpkin ale if you like them on the sweeter side.

Poured into a perfect pint. 5.0 A: Clear copper color. Three fingers of creamy tan head. Retention is very good and glass covering lacing is left. 3.5 S: While not the most adventurous nose, it is pleasant. Cinnamon, ginger, allspice, nutmeg, but Iíd prefer a heftier dose. Pumpkin gives a nice earthiness. Caramel and toasted malts, but on the drier side. 3.75 T: Taste has more power in it than the nose. The pumpkin in particular stands out more. Again the spices mentioned above are on the mild side. Caramel and toasted malts. Good. 4.0 M: Medium body. Nice creaminess to this with chewiness. Good moderate carbonation. 3.75 D: Tasty beer. Other than it being a bit tame, itís tasty and drinks well. ★ 709 characters DavoleBomb, Nov 21, 2013

650ml bottle pours a deep amber color with a 2 finger light brown head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is pumpkin with cinnamon, nutmeg and other pumpkin spices. Taste is a big pumpkin and chocolate malty sweetness with the cinnamon and nutmeg and a herbal and grassy hop bitterness. Full bodied with mild carbonation. Some alcohol is noticeable. A bit too much over the top for my tastes. The pumpkin and spices seem to stand out more than they should.

Bomber. I had this before as Double Pumpkin but didnít record the tick. I think it was the dark days when so many ticks were lost. I weep for them. Letís get this out of the way: I like pumpkin beers. If you donít, you can go eat pumpkin spice flavored poop. This beer pours a brilliant clear dark reddish amber with a lasting khaki head. The aroma is quite nice, pumpkin pie with loads of spices. Some boozy notes. The flavor is a bit overdone, certainly the ginger and possibly the ímeg as well. Lots of pumpkin pie, but too much on some elements. Sweet, close to cloying. The palate is slightly heavy, a little boozy. Overall has some very positive and slightly unenjoyable elements. A mixed bag.
