This rich and luscious brew indulges in flavor with over 28Ibs of pumpkin per barrel, for a full bodied sweetness and deep russet color. Classic pumpkin pie spices of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice ignite a warmth and spark thatís deepened by an undercurrent of roasty smoked malts. The result is a delectable brew full of enveloping layers of flavor and spice. At Samuel Adams we love experimenting. This series of limited edition brews represents some of our favorite small batch creations. Style: Pumpkin Beer Hops: East Kent Goldings, Fuggle Malts: Samuel Adams Two-Row Pale Malt Blend, Caramel 60, Special B, Smoked Malt Extras: Real Pumpkin, Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Allspice

Initially released on tap as "Double Pumpkin" in 2011, it was bottled as "Fat Jack Double Pumpkin" in 2012.

Not necessarily a heavy pumpkin flavor but still present. Leaning towards the sweet side. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Absolutely terrible beer. Rotten, sugary pumpkin flavour with some funk and garbage thrown in. Never again.

Bottle from Seth dmacFarlane. Thanks bro! Pours a dark amber/brown with a nice 2 fingers of pillowy khaki foam. Aroma is full of caramel/toffee, marzipan, pumpkin meat, dark fruit, and pumpkin pie spices. Taste of sweet caramel, hints of booze, pumpkin meat, raisins, rotted citrus, and pumpkin pie spice.

Lots of caramelized roasted pumpkin in the aroma along with some well integrated cinnamon, clove, and ginger; beautiful deep ruby-amber-orange color with a large, lasting pumpkin-beige colored head; rich and roasted caramel maltiness and great roasted pumpkin character, pie spice is there too, but itís fairly subtle and well-integrated, spiciness seems to be cinnamon, ginger, and a touch of allspice, a touch roasty and reminds me of Fall and dried leaves; medium body, smooth, and touch creamy; this is a really nice pumpkin ale that I enjoy every year, but have apparently now just rated; this is a super solid beer that doesnít immediately scream pumpkin, I like this a lot.

500ml bottle served in a pint glass. Pours a dark amber to brow color forming a solid and persistent tan head. Great nose. Sweet and spicy. Strong notes of cinnamon, honey, roasted and caramel malts and pumpkin. Slightly peppery end. Good notes of grassy hops. Taste follows the nose. Slightly sweet upfront. Honey, cinnamon, roasted malts, pumpkin, grassy hops. Light hops bitterness. Full body. Average carbonation. Caramel, pumpkin cake and spices in the aftertaste. Quite solid pumpkin ale. Not very sweet as many of the other of this style. Great beer.

Aroma is honey, cinnamon, all spice and honey. Taste is sweet roasted malts, cinnamon and all spice. Packs a punch but overall more of a beer than, say, an overload of added spices to a bland beer. Appearance is a clear amber with a thin pearl head that retains quite well.

Light cinnamon a aroma. Very dark brown color almost like a stout. Lots of sweet pumpkin flavor. One of the better pumpkin beers.

Trying it out from an yr aged bottle: from a distance in bottle roasted pumpkin seeds, pumpkin a little spice and ale in smell. In glass smell seems fruity and a tad spiced/pumpkin like. 2-3 finger head dark red look. Taste wise dunno how it differs from a fresh bottle but a little pumpkin taste with a bit of the spices in taste maybe more cinnamon and a cold ale taste, but truthfully it reminds me of a fruity(plum ect) Belgum high % beer. Itís good even if it doesnít seem 100% pumpkin and spiced like. I canít taste the alcohol but can tell some early on. Itís good and this review is of a 2014 bottle. Cheerís!!!!

Pours two fingers of head on a dark straw body. The aroma is an excellent blend of spices, just like a good pumpkin pie. The taste plays between bread crust, malty sweetness and mild bitterness to hold it together. Itís complex and quite drinkable. The texture is smooth. One of the better pumpkin beers out there.
