This rich and luscious brew indulges in flavor with over 28Ibs of pumpkin per barrel, for a full bodied sweetness and deep russet color. Classic pumpkin pie spices of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice ignite a warmth and spark that’s deepened by an undercurrent of roasty smoked malts. The result is a delectable brew full of enveloping layers of flavor and spice. At Samuel Adams we love experimenting. This series of limited edition brews represents some of our favorite small batch creations. Style: Pumpkin Beer Hops: East Kent Goldings, Fuggle Malts: Samuel Adams Two-Row Pale Malt Blend, Caramel 60, Special B, Smoked Malt Extras: Real Pumpkin, Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Allspice

Initially released on tap as "Double Pumpkin" in 2011, it was bottled as "Fat Jack Double Pumpkin" in 2012.

Bomber. Poured a filtered amber-brown color with a nice white top. Spice, pumpkin, ginger, nutmeg, warm alcohol finish. Not much body to it. Very tasty! Highly recommended.

Had on tap. Poured a clear ruby with a tan one finger head. Aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg along with a little bit of roast. Spice is predominant though. A little bit of vanilla and allspice too. The flavor was much like the smell. I especially like the roast character as this sets it apart from other pumpkin beers I have had. The beer wasn’t too sweet and never really did become cloying. Overall, a really great pumpkin beer and probably the best imperial variety I have had. Just wish I could find bottles of this.

Fat jack double pumpkin pours rich red brown with a fine head of small bubbles. Nose is sweet malt, sweet pumpkin hints and light spice. Nutmeg and something else, cinnamon? Body is light and lively. Taste is complex. Medium sweet on the fore, mellow pumpkin middle and finishes warm and with some roasted nut flavors. Very very nice.

Bottle. Pours a dark red hued amber with a creamy light tan head. Aroma is potent and redolent of pumpkig spice. Feel is full and creamy and the variety of spices create a complex flavor that finishes with a dry spiciness. Not bad.

From Batch #1. The pour is a handsome looking deep amber with garnet or red hues and a decent, short-lived head. Loads of aroma explode from the glass including pumpkin, dark malts, allspice, nutmeg, and cinnamon. The body is medium to bold. The taste begins with sweet malts, pumpkin, spices, with a peppery lingering finish. Very nice fall offering.

Deep amber color out of the bottle with a thin beige head. Rich spicey cinnamon pumpkin pie nose. Warming alcohol sense to this beer. Flavors of soft cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel and malt extract sweetness. Smooth, rich mouthfeel. Nice big, full flavored beer.

Sweet and simple vegetable nose and taste. Not too many auxiliary spices. Beautifful dark orange. Nice lacing pattern. Okay but not great.
