This rich and luscious brew indulges in flavor with over 28Ibs of pumpkin per barrel, for a full bodied sweetness and deep russet color. Classic pumpkin pie spices of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice ignite a warmth and spark that’s deepened by an undercurrent of roasty smoked malts. The result is a delectable brew full of enveloping layers of flavor and spice. At Samuel Adams we love experimenting. This series of limited edition brews represents some of our favorite small batch creations. Style: Pumpkin Beer Hops: East Kent Goldings, Fuggle Malts: Samuel Adams Two-Row Pale Malt Blend, Caramel 60, Special B, Smoked Malt Extras: Real Pumpkin, Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Allspice

Initially released on tap as "Double Pumpkin" in 2011, it was bottled as "Fat Jack Double Pumpkin" in 2012.

Sweet and simple vegetable nose and taste. Not too many auxiliary spices. Beautifful dark orange. Nice lacing pattern. Okay but not great.

Sam Adams glass at Tylers Apex. Real good aroma, sweet. Malty. Pumpkin, brown sugar. Ginger, nutmeg. Clean brownish orange color. Ok head, little to no lace. Sweet flavor. Medium body, oily creamy mouthfeel, sweet spiced finish. Darn good pumpkin. Great aroma and flavor. Winner. For me

Aroma has decided pumpkin and cinnamon notes, plus hints of malt and cloves. It pours a clear mahogany with a fairly thick light, slightly pumpkin-orange head that leaves good lacing. Satisfying flavor has a malty core with a noticeable but not overpowering pumpkin tone, as well as notes of cinnamon, horehound and cloves and a touch of caramel. Smooth texture has good body though not a lot of fizz. Happy Autumnal Equinox! (In the northern hemisphere, anyway.)

Delicious spiced beer that I really enjoyed. One of the better (and stronger) examples of the style I’ve had this season.

Dark amber pour with a tan head. Aroma is spices, sweet malt and faint pumpkin. Taste is spicey, light pumpkin and dry at the end. The ginger comes out at the end. Nice lacing.

Brown-amber-copper in color with a nice sudsy, lacey off-white head. Sweet dubel-like aroma spike with slight spiced pumpkin bready aroma. A rich pumkiny, bready chewy thick beer with some spiced tone and a bit of alcohol in the finish.

22 oz bottle. Pours ruby amber with a medium creamy off white head that goes to a thin film and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is sweet, slightly vegetal, malts with a lot of spicy cinnamon and some ginger.

The flavor is sweet caramel malts with some roast and a little dark fruit. It’s followed by a ton of heavy spice - mostly cinnamon with some ginger. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a decent pumpkin beer. It’s overly spiced with too much cinnamon. But the base is kind of a winter warmer old ale with some light roast and dark fruit that is kind of cool and plays well with the pumpkin.
