This rich and luscious brew indulges in flavor with over 28Ibs of pumpkin per barrel, for a full bodied sweetness and deep russet color. Classic pumpkin pie spices of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice ignite a warmth and spark that’s deepened by an undercurrent of roasty smoked malts. The result is a delectable brew full of enveloping layers of flavor and spice. At Samuel Adams we love experimenting. This series of limited edition brews represents some of our favorite small batch creations. Style: Pumpkin Beer Hops: East Kent Goldings, Fuggle Malts: Samuel Adams Two-Row Pale Malt Blend, Caramel 60, Special B, Smoked Malt Extras: Real Pumpkin, Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Allspice

Initially released on tap as "Double Pumpkin" in 2011, it was bottled as "Fat Jack Double Pumpkin" in 2012.

Copper red pour with off white head. Aroma is light pumpkin and spice, and a little musty. Taste is sweet, pumpkin and spice. A little to sweet, but good.

Coppery orange, huge white head. Smells more pumkin like than spicy, whic is unusual. Taste is pretty sweet and spicy, though. Seems a bit too sweet, as well.

Poured from a tap. Clear Light brown color, huge creamy off-white head with excellent lacing. Average caramel malt smell with hints of nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger. Full creamy body, nice sweet flavor with a crisp finish.

Dark orange colour with a large creamy lacy head. Rich aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg. Great taste of pumkin pie, and nutmeg, Flavor goes quickly, leaving a nutmeg finish.

Location: Bomber from Buy Rite, 9/19/13

Aroma: The aroma is spicy and malty, cinnamon, pumpkin, nutmeg, with underlying earth and ginger
Appearance: It pours a dark orangish-reddish color, with a small beige head and decent lace
Flavor: It is full the same spices, maybe more so than the nose, light sweet, mild bitter, light booze
Palate: The body is medium, it has a slight tingle, clean, fresh feel, and a dry, spicy finish
Overall Impression: This is a great example of the Pumpkin beer style. Really quality stuff. Everything balances nicely, and the spice prevents it from being too sweet. I was looking for a really nice beer, and this exceeded my expectations. If you like this style you can’t go wrong here.

650 ml. Clear dark copper-brown with a lasting smattering of cream on top. Nose is nice mix of pie spices and dry leaf, with a bit of pumpkin peeking through. Flavor is earthy-spiced toffee with pumpkin, orange zest, cream and tea leaf. Medium body is smoothly carbonated, balanced and hides the abv well.

Dark clear ruby color with a filmy/foamy light brown head; Light carbonation & good lacing. Aroma of pumpkin pie, cinnamon, spices, cloves, and vanilla. Flavor starts out with a strong cinnamon & clove flavor; Pumpkin Pie feels more organic and takes a back seat. Also getting clove, pale malt, slight hoppiness. Body is on the heavier side with moderate carbonation. Decent Pumpkin Ale but I’ve had better

Definitely a beer that grew on me as it warmed. Dark orange-brown color, minimal head. Great pumpkin pie nose. Not too sweet, great pumpkin and spice flavor. Initially, however, the ABV was apparent in a bit too boozey sweetness.

Bomber bottle. Aroma is pumpkin spice. Appearance is brown with very little head. Taste starts pumpkin spice then gets a little sweet before dulling to a pumpkin flavor. Palate is spicy. Overall, a good pumpkin beer. Would buy again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: OCT 5, 2013 16 oz. draft at the Sam Adams Beer Tent at the Big E in West Soringfield , MA. Dark amber pour wispy head, good lacing. Smell is pumpkin pie allspice, cinnamon, brown sugar, a bit of booze. Taste is very full, heavy malt, brown sugar and spices, big pumpkin flavor! Hard to find pumpkin ales that actually taste like pumpkin. I like this one, more of a sipper at 8.5% ABV. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
