500ml bottle. Clear mahogany-amber with a huge fairly lasting beige-tan fizzy/foamy head. Aroma is big pumpkin spice and mild ceral malt, some alchohol. Taste follows, some cucumber, which is weird. Average body, astringent, solid carbonation, longish spicy dry finish. Damned good.

Det här var rätt okej, men kryddningen blir lite för påträngande mot bottnen av flaskan. Kroppen var okej och balansen likaså, smaken bar toner av halm, nejlika och pumpa.

Bomber into water glass. Sweet pumpkin and typical lyre slice nose. Very nice dark orange. Inn the mouth pleasantly pumpkin with food and not overwhelming spice. A bit of sweetness.Finishes with more prominent pumpkin and a bit of spice. Good version of a style that’s too often over spiced.

I had this at the Big Hops Growler a few months back and didn’t think too much of it. I bought a bottle of it before I went to that even and thought maybe when I popped it open for Thanksgiving Day it would be a waste of money. I was wrong. It has a dark hue, unlike other pumpkin brews I have seen. Smooth head. Notes of cinnamon and other sweet spices. The pumpkin is more stark in this one. It contrasts the bitterness of the pumpkin with a sweet, molasses flavor. Mellow wash down. Actually quite a good brew. Excellent seasonal beer!

Bomber pours a brownish dark amber color with a medium tan head that leaves good lacing. Smells of pumpkin, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and smoked malt. Tastes of the same things in the smell. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy with good carbonation. Pretty good Imperial pumpkin ale nice pumpkin pie flavor with a touch of smokiness. Will be having some again next year for sure.

Dark red/amber colour with a tan head. Aroma of hops, alcohol, spices, burnt caramel and pumpkin. Cosy spicy taste of pumpkin, some ginger, caramel and spices. A nice "just enough" sweetness and a smooth body. Some taste of syrup with a light finishing bitterness.

Liquid black cherry with garnet and ruby highlights under a voluminous woodsy head of fluff which fades slowly and with lots of lace. The head eventually settles into a thick blanket that lingers from first quaff to last.
Massive notes of pumpkin, spice, graham cracker, and golden brown pie crust with cinnamon and nutmeg sprinkled on top. The pumpkin is heaviest in the middle. Essence of the forest in the middle of Autumn as the leaves crunch underfoot and the trees are brilliant shades of amber, orange, gold, yellow, and more. Slightly charred pie crust underneath.
Meaty pumpkin and spice in the middle with the sides and finish are dry and thirst inducing. Slightly singed pie crust in the finish lead into a pile of Autumn leaves crackling under the flame of a cozy outdoor Autumn fire. Cinnamon and nutmeg along the sides. More pumpkin joins the already robust creamy pumpkin notes in the middle.
Of the at least 3 or 4 different pumpkin beers I have had from Samuel Adams over the years, the Fat Jack has been by far the best. Not too sweet, not too dry, not too artificial and it captures the essence of this season very well. Hopefully Samuel Adams will do the right thing and make Fat Jack a permanent seasonal.

The head is light and delicous. This one offers many flavours, ginger, herbs, nuts, almond and a lot of sweetness as well...perhaps gingerbreadcookies with a pumkin touch in a bottle.
