This rich and luscious brew indulges in flavor with over 28Ibs of pumpkin per barrel, for a full bodied sweetness and deep russet color. Classic pumpkin pie spices of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice ignite a warmth and spark thatís deepened by an undercurrent of roasty smoked malts. The result is a delectable brew full of enveloping layers of flavor and spice. At Samuel Adams we love experimenting. This series of limited edition brews represents some of our favorite small batch creations. Style: Pumpkin Beer Hops: East Kent Goldings, Fuggle Malts: Samuel Adams Two-Row Pale Malt Blend, Caramel 60, Special B, Smoked Malt Extras: Real Pumpkin, Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Allspice

Initially released on tap as "Double Pumpkin" in 2011, it was bottled as "Fat Jack Double Pumpkin" in 2012.

Enticing the senses of taste and smell with that of spices and pumpkin, this is a particularly good pumpkin beer.

Poured from 22 oz. bottle. Hazy, dark amber-brown with a 1-finger khaki head and very good lacing. Aroma of caramel, toffee, nutmeg, pumpkin fruit and pie spices. Taste of caramel, ginger, pumpkin fruit, pie spices and sweet potatoes. Medium/full body and high/medium carbonization. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz bottle with a very well designed label. Marked as 8.5% ABV. This pours clear but dark, red-brown, with a decent bone-colored head. This soon reduces to a ring that leaves minimal lacing. Aroma: caramel; dark bread, vanilla and surprisingly light spicing. Flavor: For those of us who often find pumpkin beers over-spiced but who do not object in principle to the addition of such spices, this pumpkin ale hits the proper spicing level: The well chosen and balanced mix of spices is both obvious and light enough to let the underlying ale shine. Thereís even a nice pumpkin note here that has none of the unfortunate vegetative characteristics found in some other pumpkin ales. Lightly sweet with hints of fruitcake and mild booziness. Mouthfeel: Slick and smooth, the body is medium-full and well (light-medium) carbonated. Overall: an outstanding pumpkin beer; certainly one of the best Iíve tried.

Poured a very dark copper amber with a tall creamy khaki head. The aroma was very good with scents of caramel malt, toffee, nutmeg and pumpkin pie spices. The beer had a slightly creamy texture and good fall flavors. Nice caramel malt sweetness, nutmeg, pumpkin pie and a hint of cloves. There was a nice background hop bite that came along in the middle. There was a nice alcohol warmth coming through on the finish, but the 8.5% Alc was well hidden in the flavor.

Not my favorite. Pours a dark brown. Smells of falls spiced. Tasted of pumpkin and heavy on the spiced. Sweet aftertaste. Good but not great.

Warning, old bottle.... Reddish light brown with creamy head. Smells of spice and pumpkin. Lots of spice in the flavor. Not bad, but not my favorite style.

Bomber served in tulip. Two finger head with significant lacing. Aroma is malty with notes of pumpkin and common fall spices. Taste is lightly sweet with malty notes of pumpkin and spice. Medium bodied beer with average carbonation. Smooth finish. Overall good, enjoyable pumpkin ale.

Great looking pour - clear deep ruby red with close to an inch of slightly tan head. Aroma has pumpkin and spice, ginger in particular. The pumpkin and the spice just about overwhelms the "beer" part of it. Thereís a hint of floral hops that you can pick up occasionally, and you to get a touch of caramel towards the finish. Some alcohol warming, but itís not a problem. Quite bubbly. Honestly a little hard to drink.

Bottle pour clear ruby copper with moderate ecru head. Nose sweet malt, pie filling, nutmeg, cinnamon. Taste sweeter up front, creamy pumpkin pie, light spice in flavors. Nothing off putting but the flavors are a bit muted compared to some.
