This rich and luscious brew indulges in flavor with over 28Ibs of pumpkin per barrel, for a full bodied sweetness and deep russet color. Classic pumpkin pie spices of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice ignite a warmth and spark that’s deepened by an undercurrent of roasty smoked malts. The result is a delectable brew full of enveloping layers of flavor and spice. At Samuel Adams we love experimenting. This series of limited edition brews represents some of our favorite small batch creations. Style: Pumpkin Beer Hops: East Kent Goldings, Fuggle Malts: Samuel Adams Two-Row Pale Malt Blend, Caramel 60, Special B, Smoked Malt Extras: Real Pumpkin, Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Allspice

Initially released on tap as "Double Pumpkin" in 2011, it was bottled as "Fat Jack Double Pumpkin" in 2012.

On tap at OHSO. Big pumpkin, spice, "fall" aromas. Flavors matched, as well. Lots of cinnamon, pumpkin, nutmeg. Good representation of the style.

Aroma dark fruits, pumpkin, pumpkin spices Appearance red, clear, white foam, Taste medium sweetness, Palate medium body, lively, Overall it tastes more like a quad than a pumpkin beer. It is a good beer but not a pumpkin beer and for that reason I would not suggest this beer to a friend

Gorgeous ruby-orange color, decent pumpkin pie spices in aroma and flavour....big "fat" malts and damn boozy -this is my second one and I;m too fucked up to go into a lengthy review - just try it and be careful!!!

(Bottle) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, spicy nose with notes of caramel, dark bread, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin. Malty, fruity, spicy taste with caramel, treacle-toffee, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin, wort bread and a sweetish finish with a gentle bitterness and a slightly vinous touch. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. I’m not a great fan of pumpkin beers and it gets a bit sweet after a while, but it’s quite well made and tasty, with the ginger coming through more and more. Quite nice.

Dark copper color with off white head. Poured from a bottle that was refrigerated. Sweet pumpkin flavor with a hint of cinnamon and spice. Good flavor but a little too sweet for me.

Bomber to stem. Dark orange-copper with thin offwhite head. Standard pumpkin spice and malt, not too sweet, with a lingering bitter spice aftertaste. Eh.

Bottle from the LCBO. Dark ruby-copper with a finger or so of beige foam. Very nice aroma of sweet caramel, barley candy, earthy pumpkin, and a melange of spices - nutmeg and ginger quite noticeable, cinnamon and allspice supporting. Body is a touch sticky - would benefit from just a bit more carbonation to lighten it up - but still OK. Flavour is just what the aroma promises - sweet maltiness up front, pumpkin pie in the middle, off-dry finish with some twiggy hops toward the back of the palate. Quite a good version of a beer style that I rarely want much to do with.

Deep brown ruby tinged body. Mild pumpkin nutmeg aroma. Thin tan head. Taste is malt spice nutmeg and of course pumpkin. Smooth, rich and warming down the throat.

This beer pours a dark copper color with a thick off white head with plenty of lacing left around the glass. The aroma is pumpkin, cinnamon, and some spices. The flavor is pumpkin but not overly sweet like some pumpkin beers granted i am drinking this beer past its season so that may have a factor. I also pick up some spices and slight amount of alcohol.

Bomber from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear deep copper with a full tan head. Aroma: Rich sweet maltiness with fairly balanced spices, lightly fruity, toffee and brown sugar, clove, cinnamon, allspice and ginger (I think...), big stuff. Palate: Medium+ body, moderate carbonation, lightly syrupy. Flav.: Similar to the nose with a big, thick, rich malt backbone supporting the usual array of pumpkin spices; lightly sweet with decent bitterness, some booze and a long, crunchy malt and spice finish.
