Bottle 22fl.oz. @ [ Edinburgh Danish Invasion Tasting) by cgarvieuk - Edinburgh ].

ABV. 11.5%. Clear medium to dark orange colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is light heavy malty, caramel, barley wine aroma, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dired fruit - riped fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120422]

(Bottle, batch no. 1) Pours a clear orange body with a tall dense off-white head. Aroma of oak, toasted grain, passion fruit, vanilla, lychee, pineapple, and toffee. Flavor of oak, vanilla, toffee, orange, pineapple, and caramel.

22oz bottle. Clear amber body, small white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, grapefruit, some caramel, light pineapple, herbal. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit, caramel, some pineapple, herbal. Medium body, some stickiness, low carbonation.

22oz bottle-pours gold with a rich offwhite head. Aroma is vanilla, oak, rock candy. Taste is vanilla, oak, rock candy, light malt, some resin hops at finish.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours copper with a creamy, fizzy near-beige head. Lots of fruit in the aroma - pineapple I can discern. Full bodied. Flavor is caramel, astringent oak, and as the caramel washes away there’s grapefruit rind. It really is quite astringent. Interesting balance. Certainly not the standard heavy sweet barleywine. Pretty good stuff, and though the alcohol is clearly present, it’s not disturbing the experience.

Bottle. Poured clear copper color with a moderate to large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate tart fruit, earthy and dark caramel malt aroma. Medium to full body with a dry smooth texture and flat carbonation. Moderate to heavy tart fruit flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a complex good beer.

Bomber poured a clear golden amber with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of oak, honeysuckle, vanilla, grapefruit, light pineapple and light toffee. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of oak, vanilla, honeysuckle, toffee and fruittiness with a smooth lingering oak finish.

22oz bottle. Poured a hazy golden color with an off white head. Aromas of toastiness, oak, caramel, some fruitiness and some pineapple. Tastes of caramel, vanilla, toffee, pineapple, fruity, and some wood. Warming alcohol in the finish.
