3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours clear copper with a tan head. The aroma has cotton candy, spicy hops, earthy/fruity Belgian yeast, mushy malt and candy sweetness. It has a medium / full body with lots of frothy fairly sharp carbonation. The flavor starts out with medicinal and medicine traits, earthy spicy hops, cracker malt, earthy Belgian yeast and is much drier than the aroma. The finish has a touch of fruit and dry hoppiness. Good Belgian pale.

I guess i now know that this is what belgian IPAs are supposed to taste like, but I really dislike it. Very bready, yeasty aroma with no hop presence. good color and head. Taste is a little bit of an artificial bitterness like what pills taste like when you put them in your mouth. yeasty, bready taste, kinda twangy. very little hop presence in the taste, either. No thanks, but am enjoying the other beers in this sampler, which i will never buy as it was a gift.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Has an impressively creamy head when poured from the bottle. Amber colored, some expected Belgian fruitiness on the nose. Decent, sessionable, and exactly what I'd expect from a "Belgian IPA".

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a bottle. Pours clear light brown with a light foamy head. Smells like hops and apricots, with a little funk. Tastes slightly bitter and like peaches, pears, bread. Medium body and medium carbonation. Slight funky aftertaste.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours clear amber with average, frothy off-white head; decent retention and good lacing. Aroma is citrus fruit, Belgian yeast, cereal and bread malts, light caramel, and figs. Flavor is dry, bready malts forward with supporting pine and grassy hops, light yeast, some citrus esters, and light candy sugar; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear copper pour with a 2 finger, creamy beige head that has great retention and leaves nice thin sheets of lacing. Tons of belgian yeast character in the aroma, sharp fruity notes, stone fruit, mineral, wet limestone mineral funk, a little banana, fruity, citrus, spice and light pine hops, and toasty, cereal, Pilsener-like malt. As it warms some pine and more spicy hop notes come out in the aroma and, to a lesser extent, the flavor. Flavor starts off with lots of toast, light nutty notes, mineral, spicy hops, light caramel, stone fruit and under ripe apple esters, wet limestone, hints of grass and tea, light vegetal notes, a little caramel and decent citrus to the finish. Palate has a light to medium body, oily entry, lighter, thinner and pretty dry finish, and medium strength, sharp and blanketing carbonation. Good stuff overall, could use a bit more American or Pacific hop influence to really make it great.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Straw yellow orange with a white head. Candy sugar, cotton candy, small citrus and sweet fruits in the aroma. Flavor has slightly more bitterness in the aroma and still too sweet. Lighter to medium body. Iíll take a Raging Bitch sided over this any day.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle from pineypower. Poured a good looking burnt orange clear body that looks rather flat with an average sized frothy off white head. Aroma is nice and very complex, lots of Belgian yeast, banana, flowers, bread, honey, old caramel, bad oranges. Medium to fuller bodied at first with softer carbonation that actually fades very quickly and seems watery on the end. Flavor is similar to the aroma but not quite as good, notes of Belgian yeast, bubble gum, old bananas, flower petals, old oranges and some earth. Solid beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle poured into Samuel Adams pint glass.
Wow -- Iím pretty happy that I chose to save this beer as my last in the Hop-ology pack. Poured from the bottle, it looked exactly how I had pictured it... itís a clear, light amber, sunset yellow color.
The mouth feel and taste are fantastic. This beer is about 170 calories (Relatively low 5.7% ABV) yet is really smooth on the tongue, especially if you let it sit a moment.
And, the taste... one of the better beers Iíve had. My first sip was really bready. A few later, I got some citrus. Near the bottom of my glass, I picked up a bit of bitter, earthy hops. Thereís a little bit of everything in this beer, and itís DAMN good. I donít remember liking Belgian-type beers in the few that Iíve sampled, but this is VERY tasty. I would certainly buy it again ... this was a great way to finish off my Hop-ology pack.
