3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 2, 2013 Aroma is a mix of citrus hops, Belgian yeast and grainy malts. The flavor is earthy/grapefruit hops, a malty backbone, a mild spicy yeast flavor and a dry finish. Not bad, not great.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Moderate malt notes of light bread, roasted and caramel, light to moderate flowery perfume for the hops, moderate dough and musty for the yeast, with ginger, clove and apple/spice candles. Head is large, frothy turning rocky. light biege with excellent lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is sparkling clear golden amber. Flavor starts faintly sweet, moderately acidic and lightly bitter, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, slightly slick with a lively carbonation. Nice yet mild aromas but eh flavor is a bit lacking, namely in sweetness.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear amber with fluffy white head that leaves nice soapy lacing. Nice aroma similar to a Belgian ale with cloves and bananas. Flavor follows aroma plus piney hops as advertised.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a golden orange color with a thin white head, aroma of bananas. And bandaids with a bit of hops. Belgian yeast is pretty big in this, lots of banana and clove with some spice, not alot of hop bitterness but it finishes dry. Creamy texture, not too bad. From the hop-ology sampler

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a golden orange with a thick creamy off-white head. Very good retention and lacing. Aroma is clove spice and banana. Taste has a nice blend of esters from the Belgian yeast offset by the spicy bitterness of the hops. The Belgian influence wins in the battle for your taste buds. Well balanced and interesting

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from the ipa variety case. Poured a beautiful copper color with a medium head. Aroma of spice, fruits, citrus hop. Medium bitterness, slight sweetness. Medium bodied, creamier texture. This a real solid beer, the description on bottle does a good job describing this. I would get again.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Enjoyed it. On tap at a local beer fest. Slightly strange in that it had some of the sweet bubblegum/bannana flavors from a belgian ale but the hops added the piney bitterness on top. Not my favorite Sam Adams creation but one that is interesting enough to enjoy.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle thanks DalzAle (Greg)! Pours clear bright amber with a tight soapy white head that slowly fades to a sudsy film and lacing. Aroma is bright citrus orange peel and pine with yeast and malt all around. Taste is bitter orange peel and bread like yeast with malt mixed in well. Palate is slick chalky and finishes dry. Very nice!
