This is a nice little IPA. I like the belgian flavors coming through with a nice hops flavor. Good beer.

Pours out a medium amber color with an off-white head. Strong yeasty aroma, but nothing overpowering. Kind of a spicy taste, maybe some hints of caramel. Decent for a Belgian, but not hop-forward at all.

Bottle. Best by June 2013 so it must be fresh!! (end sarcasm) Aroma is belgian clove, spices and banana. No real hop presence. Taste is much more belgian than anything else. Banana, clove, slight old hops. Malty to a small degree but overall, more of a belgian pale at this point.

On tap. Poured an amber color with creamy white head. Yeast and malt aromas. Yeast, malt and some hop flavors. Medium body with slightly bitter yeasty finish.

nice zip on the tongue more yeasty then hoppy, flavorful yet managed. Nice but missing the hop from the IPA.

An attempt by Sam Adams to be crafty and not exactly a success. Main issue is a lingering unpleasant aftertaste like someone left a hop on the floor and then deposited it at the end of the beer. Overall some decent bitterness but falls short of Belgian IPA expectations.

Nice aroma and appearance. Good lacing. A bit soapy, low flavor in middle and ends a bit flat. Good, but doesn’t stack up vs the style.

On tap at Global Brew. Pours a pale gold/amber with a thin white head. Aroma is bread and spice. Taste is sweet caramel malt and mild hop bitterness. Quite good.
