3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Spiced aroma and flavor. Sweet, bread crust, light caramel malt. Subtle tartness... Really subtle pumpkin flavor. Pretty heavy on the spices, but doesnít overwhelm the malt character. A little cinnamon "burn" (not a bad thing).

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from 12oz bottle into pint glass
Appearance:a 1" off white head falls quickly with no lacing remaining. Color is a mostly clear reddish amber. Plenty of streaming carbonation.
Aroma: spice is the dominate aroma, a bit of pine also.
Mouthfeel: between light and medium, frothy, with a somewhat dry finish.
Flavor: pumpkin and spice (cinnamon) are the dominate flavors. A bready malt backbone and some tangy hops for balance.
Overall: fruit/spiced beers are not my personal choice of brew, but this is definitely one of the better ones I have had.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Orange with medium head. Smells of spice and grain. Flavor is kinda bitter and the pumpkin spices could be more balanced. Finish is average.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle -
Picked up in the Fall Seasonal 12-pack box. Iíve been looking forward to sample and rate this beer, because thereís nothing I look forward to reviewing than a pumpkin beer (other than a stout of course).
The aroma has some nice pumpkin spice character to it, but itís really restrained. Kept under lock and key if you will. Perhaps itís not to startle the newbie trying a pumpkin beer for the first time? But the aroma was just a notch better than Michelobís Pumpkin Spice beer. Flavor has some light sweetness to it, and the pumpkin character seems watered down. Almost like the idea was to keep this quaffable, which to me...pumpkin beers should be decadent like a great dessert. And they did succeed in making this quite quaffable, but if you are gonna include only 2 beers into this pack, I guess to make money on it they couldnít dump all kinds of malt and alcohol into it. Is it on a level of Pumking? No way...not even close. But itís not bad.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Spot on deScription provided by Samuel Adams. With a real pumpkin flavor, unlike other pumpkin beers that are loaded with allspice and flavorings. You can actually taste pumpkin and the toasted flavor comes through loud and clear. Very nice fall offering here.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Drank from a twelve ounce bottle. Not a huge fan of Samuel Adams and found this beer very average in every aspect of beer ratings.
