A perennial favorite at our Brewery Halloween party, this reddish amber ale is perfect for fall. Real pumpkin adds a full body and sweetness, while deep roasted malts lend a toasty finish to this subtly spiced brew.

12oz bottle pours with a crystal clear amber body that has striking gold hues and supports a weak off white head. The aroma offers up caramel malts, a dash of brown sugar and then a modest mix of pumpkin pie spices and pumpkin innards. The taste begins with sweet malts and then a mix of prunes, brown sugar and a modest degree of cinnamon. It gets into mild pumpkin blended with prunes to midway and heading into the finish. Pretty nice.

Medium amber with lots of visual carbonation. Aroma of spice and malt. Medium body with some slight bitterness from the hops and spice. A little on the sweet side in the beginning but finishes a little dry. Not for me.

Awfully sweet, with pumpkin on the nose and palate. Not overly spiced or artificial tasting, but just sweet.

Appearance is a brown amber color supporting an easily dissipating head leaving nil lace. Smell has a nice spiced pumpkin aroma supported by mild hops. Taste again of the spiced pumpkin with a mild hop in the back. Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. Overall not a bad pumpkin ale, but also had better.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of foamy finely sized very light brown colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated transparent cola brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was nutmeg. The crisp mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering mild nutmeg pumpkin aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of pumpkin and nutmeg. A decent one but not one that I would consider drinking again.

12oz in Boston. Much darker autumnal beer than the others I’m seeing around these parts, which is nice. Deeper pumpkin pie flavors, less of the sweet spice and more deep vegetal and caramel flavors. Spice latte in the end though, a bit sweet and creamy. Still not a favorite.

Ok. Musty pumpkin, nutmeg aroma. Cloudy orange color. A little spicy, kind of sour. Nothing special.

Bottle from variety pack purchased at Costco. Poured a dark amber color, with a medium sized off-white head, dissipation occurred quickly. Aroma is pumpkin pie spices - nutmeg, cinnamon notes are light in this one, with some other various spices. Flavor is light pumpkin flavor, some nutmeg, other spices and some notes of earthy hops. Okay.

(bottle) Surprised to see this in six packs, so I decided to give it a try. Pours a dark amber color with a medium cream colored head that retains well. Aroma smells more along the lines of an O-fest for some reason, as the toastiness comes in strong right away, and subdues the pumpkin and spice scents present. Flavor holds a little more pumpkin presence that’s coupled with more of the toasty malt. Taste a bit like Fat Jack Jr. Get a cherry hard candy flavor oddly enough too. Spices round out in the finish and provide a nice kick. Mouthfeel really shines on this beer. Save for some tingles of carb, the heft and smoothness of it resembles a cask pour. This could stand to have some more pumpkin flavor imbued within it, but overall this is still pretty tasty.

The Harvest Pumpkin Ale pours a clear dark orange color with a light brown frothy head that lasts for a good while and leaves thick lacing behind. The aroma is pumpkin and spice. The flavor is pumpkin, spice and toast. Overall this is a pretty nice brew.
