COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A perennial favorite at our Brewery Halloween party, this reddish amber ale is perfect for fall. Real pumpkin adds a full body and sweetness, while deep roasted malts lend a toasty finish to this subtly spiced brew.

Bottle. The pour was a clear dark amber with a reddish hue and had an average sized (1-2 finger) creamy off white head which produced some good lacing. The aroma was moderately strong of a toasted bread malt and a sweet doughy yeast with notes of brown sugar, allspice, nutmeg and pumpkin. The taste was a nice malty sweet with a nice note of brown sugar and allspice from the onset and finished about the same with a hint of nutmeg and a nice dose of pumpkin at the end. The flavor lingered for a descent amount of time allowing for the spices to settle nicely on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was just a tad under medium in body and quite creamy yet a little dry in texture with a nice forceful carbonation. Overall a flavorful Pumpkin Ale with just the right amount of spices blended together for a nice tasty experience.

Dark amber body. Creamy offwhite head. Initially, the pumkin spices were lightly noticed. Caramel and roasted became the dominate flavors. Light but nice firm body. Would like to enjoy again.

THOUGHTS: Decent. I prefer the imperial pumpkins, but this was pretty good for not being imperialized. Nice, but nothing much different from all the others. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a medium to dark, reddish amber with an average, off-white head that kept a thin sheet and left good lacing. The aroma had moderate to heavy caramel; lighter roasted malt; roasted pumpkin; real pumpkin pie; pumpkin pie spices. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and lightly bitter; while the finish was moderate to heavily sweet, slightly bitter and slightly sour with an average duration. There was caramel, toasted malt, a little sour pumpkin, pumkin pie spices, slight roasted malt and something like cider. The medium body was a bit watery nad then a little dry with fizzy carbonation and a slightly chalky finish.

Pours an amber color with a small head and not a lot of lacing to speak of, pretty color though.

The aroma is spicy with a good bit of rich maltiness, slightly nutty, with some dark fruit.

The beer has a mild bit of roast with some rich pie spiciness, plenty of clove and cinnamon, lightly fruity and the finish is dry and slightly bitter.

Better than I had expected.

355mL. Pours a deep, clear, deep red with a fizzier head. Finally a thicker, yellow head emerges with good retention and weak lace. Nose is cinnamon, cherry pie, pie crust. Taste is bitter, sharp, big specialty malt presence, nutmeg, cinnamon. Typical spice heavy beer masquerading as "pumpkin." Heavier, richer red ale underneath. Decent beer.

Clear reddish with minimal white head. Aroma is earthy nutmeggy, and taste is the same with a bit of ginger and some spicy astringency. $2/12oz

This one was a sleeper. Expected it to be sub par but its pretty damn decent to lots of other crappy pumpkin beers.
