A perennial favorite at our Brewery Halloween party, this reddish amber ale is perfect for fall. Real pumpkin adds a full body and sweetness, while deep roasted malts lend a toasty finish to this subtly spiced brew.

Pours a clear copper with a medium off-white head. Aroma is malt and yeast with light spice notes. Flavor is malty with hints of yeast, nutmeg and other spices, and some vegetable notes. Medium body with medium carbonation and a light, spicy finish. Not bad.

This is a pretty good little pumpkin ale. Pours a nice brown with amber hues. Fairly lasting offwhite foam. Taste has plenty of your typical pumpkin spice with a nice dash of pumpkin rounding it all together. Fairly balanced for the pumpkin beers which tend to be sweet. Overall this is one of the better pumpkin beers I have had.

Very excited to see that Sam Adams got into the pumpkin beer category. Dark amber to chestnut color with a 2 finger off white head. Color is darker than most pumpkin beers that I have tried this year. Flavor reminds me of pumpkin bread - baked pumpkin bread flavor, and equal amounts of cinnamon and nutmeg. Palate I have to hand it to Sam Adams - for a brewery this large, they produce excellent beers across a very wide array of categories.

Bottle. Poured a red-brown with an off-white head that settled to a ring. Subdue aroma of light toasted malt. The flavor found toasted malt backed with some light pumpkin. Medium body and a light sweetness throughout.

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark amber with 1 finger of off-white head. Aroma of pumpkin, clove and nutmeg. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Strong taste of nutmeg and pumpkin. Full bodied with a thick and creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, very good. Something I would like to drink again.

Purchased at Vas Foremost in Chicago, IL, enjoyed after a long work week before my band plays a show tonight. Appearance is a dark red/amber with almost no head. Aroma of pumpkin, spices, a touch of sweetness, pretty nice. Taste is pretty smooth, nothing really pops out from this one, it’s an easy drinker with pumpkin flavoring, light to medium body, medium carbonation, moderate sweetness. Pretty solid.

Not sure what I was expecting from SA when I bought the harvest case. Poured a copper color, decent foamy tan head. Aroma was spicy and malty. Flavor was good, decent spice to, cinnamon and clove not overly done either. Medium mouthfeel and a lightly lingering spice finish. Overall I enjoyed this and it exceeded my expectations..

copper-brown pour - aroma of yeast and malt with slight pumpkin spice (very slight) - very sweet taste with an almost sticky mouth feel with strong notes of pumpkin pie spice, malt and these tastes linger for quite some time - normally I guess I would think this too strong but if one was in the right mood it is actually pretty good
