COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A perennial favorite at our Brewery Halloween party, this reddish amber ale is perfect for fall. Real pumpkin adds a full body and sweetness, while deep roasted malts lend a toasty finish to this subtly spiced brew.

Clear reddish with minimal white head. Aroma is earthy nutmeggy, and taste is the same with a bit of ginger and some spicy astringency. $2/12oz

This one was a sleeper. Expected it to be sub par but its pretty damn decent to lots of other crappy pumpkin beers.

As these types of brews go this one is not unpleasant. Iím not able to taste many of the flavors mentioned by the other raters.

Pours a dark ruby red color with golden copper edges and a one finger off-white head that quickly settles into a thin ring. Minimal spots of lacing left behind. Sweet pumpkin pie aroma with lots of autumnal spices and sweet malt notes. Smells like desert with hints of pumpkin puree, rye, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and clove. Full bodied with a blast of crisp, zesty spice up front that lingers over the sweeter notes into a slightly dry finish. Hints of pepper, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and ginger followed by a prominent pumpkin presence as well as some caramel and rye. The spiciness slightly overpowers the pumpkin flavor but itís still pretty flavorful and easy to drink.

12oz bottle deep amber/red color with a cream head. Cinnamon, nutmeg and clove spice aroma. Oh, and some allspice. Which is all smells like. I wish I know what pumpkin and not pumpkin pie smelled like (outside of raw pumpkin, which this could smell like). Also a little vegetal cilantro/coriander going on. Not the good coriander. Lots of spice astringency in the mouth with a decent sweetness and uncomfortable bitterness in the finish. I just donít think these light pumpkin ales work. If you want a beer to taste like pumpkin pie you have to make it as sweet and thick as pumpkin pie. If you arenít going for a dessert beer, youíre just doing it wrong.

Bottle. Enjoy before: February. A light ruby pour with a smallish beige head. The aroma is dominated by nutmeg, roasted caramel maltiness, cinnamon, some pumpkin, and a hint of vanilla extract. Goes down thin and crisp. Caramel, toasted wheat/pumpernickel bread, and roasted nutmeg upfront taste-wise. Some dark chocolate and roasted coffee towards the end. A strange smokiness underneath it all. Faint hints of pumpkin here and there. Much more of a winter warmer than a pumpkin ale.

A - Pours a clear copper-reddish color with a thin layer of slightly off-white head. The head fades down fairly quickly leaving behind only a touch of lace. S - Aroma is a mix of sweet amber bready malt, a bit of pumpkin, and stronger pumpkin pie spices. T - Starts off with the bready sweet malts and some cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg flavors. Through the middle, the spices dull a bit and a bit of pumpkin comes through. The malts also get a bit richer. The finish is a mix of spices, malt, and light pumpkin that lingers. M - Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Feels smooth, but overall a bit too thin and watery. D - Very drinkable. Pretty decent flavors, but the beer is far too thin and watery and could have used a bit more carbonation.

Poured from a bottle into a pilsner glass. Color was dark amber. Maybe a Ĺ-inch of head. Tad bit of lacing that dissipated very fast. Very little film, sporadic at best. Roasty amber malts. Slight spice, maybe nutmeg. Initial taste was roasty malts, followed by a quick spicy feel. Recognized cinnamon and nutmeg. Medium body. Texture? Flat carbonation. Smooth finish. This was a pleasant surprise. A pretty well-rounded beer that seemed like a perfect fall/winter beer. Iíd give it another try.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear, deep red-amber colored body with a finger-width, frothy, somewhat creamy, light tan head that dissipates quickly and leaves a pretty nice lacing. Aroma is sweeter with caramel and a bit of a biscuit along with a nice pumpkin spice mix of nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon. Flavor leans more towards the sweeter caramel malt with some biscuit up front along with a medium-light pumpkin spicing. The mixture of nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon comes in, but seems a bit timid. Finishes with a touch of toast to the sweeter caramel and biscuit along with a balanced, light spicing. Medium length aftertaste following a medium, smooth body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a clean and well made pumpkin ale. Sweeter caramel with some biscuit and a decent pumpkin spicing. Not my favorite pumpkin ale, but enjoyable.
