COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A perennial favorite at our Brewery Halloween party, this reddish amber ale is perfect for fall. Real pumpkin adds a full body and sweetness, while deep roasted malts lend a toasty finish to this subtly spiced brew.

Bottle. Enjoy before: February. A light ruby pour with a smallish beige head. The aroma is dominated by nutmeg, roasted caramel maltiness, cinnamon, some pumpkin, and a hint of vanilla extract. Goes down thin and crisp. Caramel, toasted wheat/pumpernickel bread, and roasted nutmeg upfront taste-wise. Some dark chocolate and roasted coffee towards the end. A strange smokiness underneath it all. Faint hints of pumpkin here and there. Much more of a winter warmer than a pumpkin ale.

A - Pours a clear copper-reddish color with a thin layer of slightly off-white head. The head fades down fairly quickly leaving behind only a touch of lace. S - Aroma is a mix of sweet amber bready malt, a bit of pumpkin, and stronger pumpkin pie spices. T - Starts off with the bready sweet malts and some cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg flavors. Through the middle, the spices dull a bit and a bit of pumpkin comes through. The malts also get a bit richer. The finish is a mix of spices, malt, and light pumpkin that lingers. M - Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Feels smooth, but overall a bit too thin and watery. D - Very drinkable. Pretty decent flavors, but the beer is far too thin and watery and could have used a bit more carbonation.

Poured from a bottle into a pilsner glass. Color was dark amber. Maybe a ˝-inch of head. Tad bit of lacing that dissipated very fast. Very little film, sporadic at best. Roasty amber malts. Slight spice, maybe nutmeg. Initial taste was roasty malts, followed by a quick spicy feel. Recognized cinnamon and nutmeg. Medium body. Texture? Flat carbonation. Smooth finish. This was a pleasant surprise. A pretty well-rounded beer that seemed like a perfect fall/winter beer. I’d give it another try.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear, deep red-amber colored body with a finger-width, frothy, somewhat creamy, light tan head that dissipates quickly and leaves a pretty nice lacing. Aroma is sweeter with caramel and a bit of a biscuit along with a nice pumpkin spice mix of nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon. Flavor leans more towards the sweeter caramel malt with some biscuit up front along with a medium-light pumpkin spicing. The mixture of nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon comes in, but seems a bit timid. Finishes with a touch of toast to the sweeter caramel and biscuit along with a balanced, light spicing. Medium length aftertaste following a medium, smooth body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a clean and well made pumpkin ale. Sweeter caramel with some biscuit and a decent pumpkin spicing. Not my favorite pumpkin ale, but enjoyable.

Bottle shared by shigadeyo. Poured clear orange amber color with an average off-white frothy head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid toasted malt and pumpkin spice. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium balanced pumpkin sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good seasonal beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours mahogany brown with beige head. The aroma is nutmeg, clove, and caramel. The flavor is caramel sweetness with a heavy dose of nutmeg and little bits of cinnamon and clove. A faint woody bitterness comes in the finish. It has a nice toasty quality to it. Decent, but I don’t taste the real pumpkin that’s supposedly in it, just the spice.

Pours dark copper with a two finger cream head. Aroma is heavy to ginger and spices, quite nice. Very sweet, dominated by the ginger in the flavor, with cinnamon and pumpkin playing the foil to the ginger. A bit thin bodied, but easy to drink and a decent overall brew.

Solid pumpkin ale. Very nice balance between malts, pumpkin, and spices. Probably the most well-balanced pumpkin beer I’ve had. Very drinkable too.

12oz bottle. Orangish maple pour with some head and little retention. Nose similar to a Marzen on the base with some distinct autumnal spices albeit not overpowering. Taste follows the nose with a malty backbone peppered with nutmeg, cloves and pumpkin. Very drinkable fall offering.

Strong sweetness to start that was typical for an ale with a some what bitter pumpkin taste with a nice hint of spice at the thenfinish. For me the extreme from intense sweet to a spicy bitter was a little much
