Bottle. Pours a dark amber. Aroma of Pumpkin and spices. Off white color with a head that diminishes to a filmy finish. Taste of pumpkin, caramel, and spice. Nice smoothness to the finish. Palate is a solid medium, not too think. Better then expected.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Iphonephan (1227) - Virginia, USA - OCT 29, 2012
From a 12 oz bottle poured at home. Pours a deep, almost clear, reddish brown with an off white head. Mild spicy pumpkin aroma. Surprising flavor - akin to a ginger ale. Unlike some, pumpkin flavor is very subtle.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20 buttslamify (52) - - OCT 28, 2012
It’s certainly interesting, but nothing I would drink on a regular basis. For Halloween though I feel like you kind of have to drink something with pumpkins. Aroma is solid, pumpkin and spices mostly, appearance is actually beautiful, a strong, lacy, and foamy head that shows almost no bubbles (like a Guinness head) and a dark orange coloring. Taste is ok, a little skunky when it gets warm which is dissapointing, but you can taste some pumpkin. If only pumpkins tasted better though. Palate: smooth and buttery, lasting flavor, very nice palate. Overall: It’s good, probably the best pumpkin beer you can get, so if you’re in the spirit go grab some.

12 oz bottle: Pours a dark mahogony red with a fizzy tan head that dissipates quickly to nothing. Aroma is spicy, bready and strong, sweet pumpkin. Taste is too spicy for my taste; nutmeg, cinnamon. Worth it once a year as a holiday beer, but not somthing I would drink regularly.

These pumpkin ales seem to be the ticket this season except this one is a smoky pumpkin ale, so throws you for a loop. Its deep amber colored and has a small white head but leaves a lot of lace on the glass. Earthy mineral aroma. Tastes like the slag smoke from a good 6010 rod burn. There may be some pumpkin in there but the weld smoke covers it. Delicious in an inunderstandable way.

Pours a hazy orange-dark brown color with a beige nose. Nose is pumpkin spice and caramel malts. Sweet taste with medium carbonation. Samuel Adams doesn’t disapoint withb this brew
