3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Light pumpkin nose, not quite a pumpkin pie scent but close, but the pumpkin comes through cleaner, spices are peripheral, getting mostly nutmeg. Flavor is semi-sweet pumpkin, dry cocoa and nutmeg. Soft, creamy palate, modest hopping apparent at the finish, well built. Given that I dislike most pumpkin beers, this one is a fairly pleasant surprise. I can’t say I love it, but its alright.

Got this beer as part of the Harvest Collection from Sam Adams. Definitely taste the pumpkin and allspice, while the hops and malt let you remember that this is a beer, not a pumpkin pie.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours dark reddish amber with no head. Aroma: holy shit pumpkin spice. Taste: floral potpourri; pumpkin spice, cloves, nutmeg, all that jazz. Palate: light body, lively carbonation. Overall: more or less unpleasant. Turns out I may no longer like pumpkin beers.

One of my more liked beers by Sam Adams. A nice pumpkin flavor. A little artificial tasting which leads to not wanting more than one or two though.

12oz bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a light tan head that slowly fades to a small layer. The nose is full of pumpkin pie spices like nutmeg and cinnamon, with pumpkin. Taste is full of the spices from the nose and loads of pumpkin with a sweet caramel malt flavor. Creamy, medium bodied, with moderate carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
aroma is spicy at first impression, cinnamon, nutmeg, slight yeast and caramel..looks nice,a dark brownish clear red with a white foamy head..oddly light, malty and mildly spicy flavor, sort of like gingerbread washed down with pepsi but you do get used to it I guess..pleasant enough mouthfeel..overall..if youre going to call it pumpkin ale I should taste some pumpkin rather than spicemore of an octoberfest but still okay probably wont try again

Aroma of pumpkin spice. Flavor is slightly metallic and very pie spicey. Very sweet finish. Almost no bitterness. Foamy white head and copper color.

Very mild in nature but as it warmed there was some nice pumpkin bread aroma with resonances of spices like nutmeg. The flavor remained too subtle. Fine. Bottle.
