COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A perennial favorite at our Brewery Halloween party, this reddish amber ale is perfect for fall. Real pumpkin adds a full body and sweetness, while deep roasted malts lend a toasty finish to this subtly spiced brew.

Aroma: dank and metallic like rusty pipe, not spicy, which is what I would have expected; Appearance: creamy, ever so slightly orangish, head on pour, color like that of dark iced tea, foam lingers on edge of glass, and decent bubble action; Taste: wierdly enough, it tastes nothing like it smells (thankfully), pumpkin spice predominates, although its slightly artificial IMHO, like the same thing they sprinkle on top of a "pumpkin" cappucino @ Starbucks, thereís a decent amount of roasty malts underneath that pumpkin spice though, and those flavors are quite enjoyable, very one dimensional; Palate: not too bad overall, good balance despite the one track tastebud experience of the "pumpkin spice", just the right amount of carbonation; Overall: just a slightly above average overall experience, nothing to run away from, but nothing to rave about either, I think its a great seasonal beer to open up an autumn drinking session, but thatís about it

Bottle. Orange with medium head. Smells of spice and grain. Flavor is kinda bitter and the pumpkin spices could be more balanced. Finish is average.

Bottle, many thanks to radimd. dark amber color with huge off-white head. Pumpikn, bready malt, clove, cinnamon, ginger in aroma. Taste, sweet malt, pumpkin, roasted notes, mild cinnamon, ginger, star anise. Light spicy finish. Enjoyable beer.

12oz bottle - Picked up in the Fall Seasonal 12-pack box. Iíve been looking forward to sample and rate this beer, because thereís nothing I look forward to reviewing than a pumpkin beer (other than a stout of course). The aroma has some nice pumpkin spice character to it, but itís really restrained. Kept under lock and key if you will. Perhaps itís not to startle the newbie trying a pumpkin beer for the first time? But the aroma was just a notch better than Michelobís Pumpkin Spice beer. Flavor has some light sweetness to it, and the pumpkin character seems watered down. Almost like the idea was to keep this quaffable, which to me...pumpkin beers should be decadent like a great dessert. And they did succeed in making this quite quaffable, but if you are gonna include only 2 beers into this pack, I guess to make money on it they couldnít dump all kinds of malt and alcohol into it. Is it on a level of Pumking? No way...not even close. But itís not bad.

Spot on description provided by Samuel Adams. With a real pumpkin flavor, unlike other pumpkin beers that are loaded with allspice and flavorings. You can actually taste pumpkin and the toasted flavor comes through loud and clear. Very nice fall offering here. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Drank from a twelve ounce bottle. Not a huge fan of Samuel Adams and found this beer very average in every aspect of beer ratings.

Bottle. Pours deep red with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Mild hop aroma with nearly no aroma. A wheat like spicy flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle The deep roasted malts lend a toasty finish that is augmented with some spices. A slightly above average offering.
