COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A perennial favorite at our Brewery Halloween party, this reddish amber ale is perfect for fall. Real pumpkin adds a full body and sweetness, while deep roasted malts lend a toasty finish to this subtly spiced brew.

Vacker rödbrun öl med smutsvitt skum. Inte mycket öl varken i smak eller doft. Kryddorna tar över för mycket för min smak. Framförallt kanelen.

Bottle. Smells like sweet cinnamon and spices. Tastes sweet, just like pumpkin pie. Medium body and medium carbonation.

Bottle. Pours amber with thin, fizzy off-white head. Aroma is pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, cookie and cereal malts, floral hops, and light yeast. Flavor is sweet malts forward with supporting spices, pumpkin esters, and some light floral and spicy hops; dry, lightly sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Understated pumpkiness and carbonation from a few weeks past expiration date. Extra in trade, because I had missed its more limited distribution. Yellow orange bodied. Very drinkable, a bit saison like, and even appealing to sip by the ladies. Pumpkin at the end, its really the spices that was its appeal. Easy mouthfeel.

Bottle->SA. Reddish brown with small offwhite head. Pumpkin and spices, as expected. Decent, fairly average for the style.

Bottle. Pours a dark auburn brown with a large, yellowish-brown head. Aroma is very spicy: Loads of cloves and nutmeg as well as bitter orange peel, some cinnamon and ginger. The spices pretty much overpower any of the flavors coming from the malts or hops. Not being American and not being familiar with Thanksgiving or pumpkin pie, this reminds me of Christmas instead of Autumn. Taste is a lot of the spices as well. Cloves are the strongest flavor, but there’s nutmeg and bitter orange peel too. There some caramel and dark breadiness in the background. A light mixed fruit juice fruitiness and a light tough of herbal hoppiness on the finish. Palate is fairly light and quite high in carbonation. Not watery fortunately so this isn’t as bad a spice water as some Finnish supermarket strength Christmas beers tend to be.

Appearance: Pours sounding like a highly carbonated pop with a nice orange colored head that quickly dissipates. No lacing. Smell: Faint roasted malts and spice... maybe some of that pumpkin that’s supposedly in this beer. It’s really rather subtle. Not too shabby. Taste/Feel: Thankfully, this is a pretty tasty beer. You definitely get a lot of malt on that first sip, as well as some spice, including cinnamon. The pumpkin is there, but it seems to be in the background. The one thing that irks me a bit is that the after taste coupled with the feel of the beer leaves seemingly an artificial taste on my tongue. What I REALLY don’t care for much is the feel... it seems a bit too watery. Overall, a fairly disappointing beer from the Harvest Collection. It tastes pretty good, but the feel, look, and smell are lacking, leaving this as yet another average Sam Adams beer, in my opinion. Still wouldn’t mind throwing back a few for Fall.

Bottle. Reddish amber beer with a good head. The aroma is fruity with some gingerness, and the flavour is bitter with some ginger fruitiness. Overall a reasonable spiced and bitter beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Real nice pumpkin ale, with all the flavors and aromas of the fall. Pours a deep copper with thin off-white head. Aromas of pumpkin, clove, cinnamon, Flavor was a great blend of sweet malts, spices, and a nice hop finish that just brought it all together. Medium bodied and a creamy texture

Bottled 18/01/13. A reddy brown coloured beer with no head. Pumpkin pie spices throughout with sweetness. A decent body to the base beer. Works very nicely for me but it’s probably quite bog standard as pumpkin beers go. As a rarely imported genre of beer though, I’ll happily enjoy it.
