A perennial favorite at our Brewery Halloween party, this reddish amber ale is perfect for fall. Real pumpkin adds a full body and sweetness, while deep roasted malts lend a toasty finish to this subtly spiced brew.

The beer pours in the glass with some nice head and it smells of pumpkin pie. The taste of it is like drinking pumpkin pie in a glass. This is my favorite pumpkin beer and it is such a great representative of the style. Give it a try.

Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head that left plenty of lacing around the glass. The aroma is pumpkin, cloves, spices, and nutmeg. The taste is very similar to the aroma. A slight bitterness to round it out. One of my personal favorite pumpkin beers.

A gorgeous orange and tan color and delicious spices. While I did taste some pumpkin, it was mostly in the background. But those warm, delectable pumpkin pie spices were right up front. Cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, they’re all there. It was still refreshing and crisp, too. And even though it is heavily spiced, it is fantastically well balanced.

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2012 Pours dark brown with pretty much no head. Smells wonderfully of pumpkin spice and nutmeg. Nice flavor of pumpkin but with an unexpected finish of pure beer and malt. Greatness.

Exclusive to the Havest Collection Variety pack for 2010. Deep golden/copper color with an almost reddish tinge and an initially foamy off-white head that rapidly dissipates to a fine lace. Caramel and spice float off the top followed by a malty (but not overly sweet) taste with excellent pumpkin pie spice that is perfectly balanced. The best part is the aftertaste and the "back" aroma that comes when you breathe out and get a secondary spice flavor and a true pumpkin vegetality. Medium bodied and very easy to drink. Unlike a lot of other pumpkin beers, this doesn’t overdo the spices or underdo the pumpkin (which is often undetectable over the spices and sweetness). This is the best pumpkin ale I’ve had in a long time.

This is a beautiful amber color, with a medium-sized head. The taste and aroma are delicious - very reminiscent of pumpkin pie with notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, and some other spices. You can also detect some nuttiness. This is a great beer for fall or winter.

Solid pumpkin ale. Very nice balance between malts, pumpkin, and spices. Probably the most well-balanced pumpkin beer I’ve had. Very drinkable too.

Great beer. One of the few Pumpkin beers I have had that actually tastes better chilled. Reminds me of a good pumpkin bread, but not to heavy. Can pair well with lots of food because it doesn’t linger.

Aroma is caramel, orange, and ginger. Appearance is reddish/brown with good carbonation. Taste is low hops with medium malt, caramel, pumpkin, ginger, orange. All very subtle and not overpowering in abundance. Palate is sweet crystal malt aftertaste. Another excellent brew from the master brewers at sam adams.A++
