3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured into my imperial pint nonic (two bottles), colour is deep russet to brown with a half inch of lingering off white head - seriously it just sits there. Aroma is massive amounts of nuttiness, almost like Nutella but with less cocoa and more nut. Tastewise more of the nutella thing, but balanced off with some caramel and a firm hop bite which is woodsy and suggests Fuggles to me. Medium bodied and rather nice, I imagine it would be even better on cask!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. Clear, deep copper-brown with a lasting half inch of sticky foam. Nose is roast hazelnut, sweetened cocoa, soured cream and toffee. Flavor is the same rich tasty stuff. Near-medium body is to the sweet side, but balanced by tingly acidity from the roast and a high amount of carbonation.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Mari’s. Pours brown with a finger of off-white head, some bubbles around the sides of the glass. The aroma has nuts, vanilla, some caramel and a little lactose in there. The taste has a nice, soft hazelnut and vanilla pop with a decent brown ale backbone. The finish trails back to the nuts and vanilla again. Pretty decent brew..

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sweet nuttiness. The main problem with this beer is the base brown ale is just ok.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle to pint. Looks solid; a transparent brown with light beige head that quickly dissipates into lacing. Smells of hazelnut.Tastes the same with a bit of hops. Average on the palate. Better than I expected.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
The last to sample in my Autumn sampler pack. Deep rich brown body with a medium beige head that stuck around. Aroma has hints of coffee and chocolate. Taste is chocolate, toffee with a spice after note that finished clean. Impressed!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Part of a mix pack procured from Julios. A light clear brown brew with a light tan colored head. Aroma is slightly nutty and sweet. Flavor is very well balanced. Nice and malty. Not overly sweet. Lingering toffee and nutty flavors.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sweet hazelnut and caramel on the front with a good size bite of hops at the end. Notes of buttered bread. Not too bad. No lacing.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle into a goblet. Aroma is that of malt and hazel nut. Pour is a nice dark brown gold with a nice brown head. Taste is hazel nut with an earthy malt. Finish is a clean nutty malt, a very nice ale.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a nice brown with a decent head and aromas of brown sugar and leaves. Flavor is alright for a brown but a little directionless. Decent but uninspiring.
