COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This flavorful dark brown ale has a distinct hazelnut aroma and taste. Slightly sweet caramel and toffee malt notes accentuate the pleasant roasted hazelnut character. This medium-bodied brew finishes smooth with an underlying spiciness from the hops.

12 oz bottle: Aroma is distinctive hazel nut, smoky malt, a bit of toffee, and a overall roasted scent. Appearance is a clear dark reddish almost brown color with a slightly off white head that lingers. Taste has got a nice brown ale texture, hazel nut, chocolate cake, aqueous, and roasted malt nicely melt together. Palate is medium carbonation in the mouth with an nice hazel nut aftertaste that lingers. Overall, Better than I thought it would be. Cheers!

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2012 12 oz bottle from a fall mix pack. Pours a sparkling roan brown color with a small off white head that soon dissipates to a fine ring. The aroma is distinct with roasted hazelnuts and Frangelico. The taste is toffee malts forward with a good dose of frangelico liqueur. The palate was a bit thin and the carbonation was lively. Finished short and unsatisfying. Overall: Great aroma and taste but this just fell apart on the finish.

Appearance was clear reddish brown with creamy diminishing tannish 1/2 finger head, no lacing. Aromas are sweet toffee, caramel, hazelnut , latte malts upfronts but sublte. Hops are muted like a brown should be, slight spicey yeasts. Taste are nutty, toffee, caramelize malts with deep fruits of fig and touch of mild coffee, yeasts are clean. Palate was creamy smooth CO2 with balanced body, then a mild average length even keeled slightly dryish nutty finish. A wonderful brown, warms up well...

Sampled on 8/17/2012. This brown ale pours a medium brown color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, sweet and nutty. A medium to full bodied brown ale. The malts are caramel, bready, nutty and sweet. The hops are earthy. Nice carbonation. A nice malty and nutty brown ale, with a nice nutty character. Much better than I was expecting. Perhaps a touch sweet. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is somewhat sweet

Clear, cola/burgundy color with a modest off-white head and ok lace. Clear aromas of hazelnuts, toffee and caramel, perhaps some floral hops and chocolate as well. Caramel sweetness up front with plenty of nuttiness and chocolate. More of a hops kick than expected. Medium body, lively carbonation, smooth texture and the sweetness kicks out the hops in the finish.

A great beer. Really tastes like chocolate and hazelnut in a good way. A great dessert beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
