4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
The Hazel Brown pours a very deep amber brown with a thick, frothy sand-colored head that lasts and lasts leaving thick lacing. The aroma is hazelnut and spice. The flavor is dominated by hazelnut with spice and a touch of pine hops. This brown is packed with flavor. I am definitely amazed with how much this brew has to offer. Definitely worth trying.

Quite surprised by how tasty this was. Not nutty at all, the sweetness is faint. More than anything else this is creamy. A good beer.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
This beer pours a rich, ruby brown color with a soft, but thick and pillow-like tan head. The nose is full of roasted malt, caramel, nuts, toffee and bread. The body is velvety smooth and very drinkable. The flavors are absolutely delicious, with a smooth and balanced character. I taste plenty of caramel malt and toffee, with hints of nuts, whiskey and rye. The finish is semi-sweet, with more notes of nuts, caramel and toffee. This is probably one of the best brown ales Iíve tasted.

Smells strongly of hazelnut. Tastes like hazelnut. Clear brown. Medium body. This is one of the best Sam Adams I can remember.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Best before February, 2013.
Appearance: This is a beautiful looking beer from the clear mahogany body to the creamy tan head that fills out my pint glass and slowly dissipates into a creamy coating and some tan lacing. This is how a brown ale should look!.
Aroma: This also smells wonderful, slightly sweet of hazelnuts with a light roasted aromas. I love this and any hazelnut coffee drinker should as well.
Taste: Light caramel and toffee are on the intro with a mild rasted hazelnut flavor leads into the finish. This is balanced well and very drinkable, I love this.
Palate: Medium bodied, a bit thin on texture, with crisp carbonation.
Overall: Sam Adams nailed this one, I absolutely love this. If this made it into 6 packs year round I would buy one often. Well done!

From 12oz bottle to lager glass. Pour is a deep copper, thick white head with active carbonation. Nose is caramel, malt, bread, toffee, slight chocolate. Taste is a mixture of bitter and sweet, light body with a thick creamy feel. Just right amount of carbonation, finishes very sharply. Great beer, Sam Adams kills this Harvest Sampler pack.

Alright, part of the seasonal batch purchased at Remke/Biggs - This is a sweet, haxel infused session brew. I like it!

Red with a hint of orange, big olí creamy head due to an overzealous pour. Wisps of lace on the side of the glass.
Aroma is nutty, dusty hazelnut. Touches of milk chocolate, mocha coffee, mild cereal grains. Slightly sweet, slightly dry in the nose. If you want to have a friend of yours take a whiff of a beer that "doesnít smell like a beer," this is it.
The taste is sweeter than the aroma would suggest: caramel and toffee and molasses, but balanced by that nutty quality. Itís not cloying or overly saccharine: itís mildly sweet and malty. Dusty and dry.
The feel is thick and creamy, but dry. Like an English ale with extra toffee and caramel. It might be a little thick for the summertime, but when it warms up it should be a crowd-pleaser.
