MrBunn (826), Western, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 13, 2008 Bottle unleashes a hazy, light amber body with about two fingers of fluffy white head. Aromas are dirty dish water and lemon with a little bit of yeast. Flavor is orange peels, yeast and a bit of scummy dishwater, but not abhorently so. Just has a bit of roughness around the edges that I didn’t appreciate a whole lot.
kiefdog (390), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 18, 2008 12oz bottle from Publix Supermarket. Pours a just slightly hazy dark golden color with a one finger white head that diminishes quickly but still laces the glass. Aroma is wet grass, slightly sweet malt, and honey but all very faint. Flavors are about the same: generally grain and wheat notes with some light honey sweetness. Not much else to it. Light body with a quick finish. WakeandBake (30), Greenville, Michigan, USA Aug 16, 2008 Fair enough Amerian wheat but it could be more of so many things...could be yeastier, could be citrusy-er or fruitier, could be tangier...but it’s a nice enough thirst quencher. I like to see it in the mix packs but never buy a six of it or anyhting
1_2many (194), Ohio, USA Aug 15, 2008 Bottle. This is simply a desecration to all German hefeweizens. In every way this is a subdued hefeweizen. Aroma is weak, appearance is sub-par, flavor is muted, only the palate is decent. Very easy to drink but I’m glad ratebeer doesn’t call this a hefeweizen. NomDeBeer (127), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Aug 11, 2008 Drinkable, but unremarkable. Typical Hefeweizen flavors are present - fruit, cloves, slight cereal malt note - but not enough. WesKBob (145), Bethany, Oklahoma, USA Aug 10, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow with a thin, but lasting, white head. Aroma is light, with notes of wheat and citrus. Flavor is equally light, with perhaps a little stronger citrus flavor. Drinkable, but nothing to write home about.
