A: nuts and english hops. A: pours a dark maroon with a thick dirty white head. Some lacing left. T: caramel and malt. P: like a lot of SA’s beers, on the thin side. O: could drink a couple but lacks the umph of a good porter.

It poured a dark brown color with not much lacing. The smell has a mixture of malts and spiced hops. The taste is sweet with some earthy tones surrounding the malts. The palate is medium to heavy with a rich carbonation hitting the tongue. It has a creamy aftertaste and mild sticky finish. Overall, this is a great beer in the seasonal pack.

Ok; not one of the better porters, or the best of the Holiday Sampler. Decent, but too much bitterness and spice for my liking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: Poured a black color porter with a nice off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of light dry chocolate notes with medium roasted malt notes. Taste is a mix of roasted malt with dry bitter notes and some light black chocolate notes with some subtle floral notes form the Golding hops. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not the most complex porter put there but well brewed and easily drinkable.

This Holiday Porter pours a dark brown, and has a slight scent of malts. It starts out with a semi-heavy taste that is slightly nutty. After a good full taste it finishes very smooth. Good taste and highly recommended to try.

bottle. Poured deep brown with a thin creamy tan head. Nice roasty, raisin aroma. Lightly cabonated with a full-heavy mouthfeel, not overly bitter. Nice roasty flavours of coffee and cocoa, chocolate malt really comes through.

Bottle thanks to John. Pours black with white head. Nose and taste of roast caramel and chocolate malt and cocoa. Lighter bodied. Standard issue porter. Decent.

12oz Bottle A - Pours a dark chestnut with a one finger tan head which has some staying power. Some lacing. S - Not much here, some faint cocoa. S - Dark chocolate & some bitter notes. Not sure if its coming from coffee or hops. M - Light/medium bodied, smooth texture, nice carbonation, & a mildly bitter finish. O - An average, but certainly drinkable porter.

12 ounce bottle- pours out an attractive red-brown with a thin, pale head. Aroma was caramel with a little chocolate. Smooth, woody flavor with a pleasant bite. Palate was a little thin, but overall better than average.
