Samuel Adams Holiday Porter is a full-flavored porter inspired by the famous drink of Londonís Victorian era luggage porters. Brewed with generous portions of Caramel, Munich and Chocolate malt, this hearty porter finishes with traditional English Fuggles and East Kent Goldings. Cheers!

Decent beer. But not a great porter. Doesnít have anything that helps it stand out from the crowd. Beautiful head held up well. Nutty with coffee overtones.

Decent, but subdued aroma, but that is kinda the problem with the whole brew. It is just almost there in every aspect. There is nothing that really brings the goods, and the very light hopping makes the beer even more bland. It has a good mouthfeel, and is far from a pour out, but just brings nothing exciting or memorable to the table

Roast malt aromas that are more relaxed than other examples. Pours black/brown with mahogany highlights. No hop flavor or aroma to speak of. Full bodied with repressed roast flavors and so balanced that you almost donít notice it. This is absolutely a current favorite of mine.

Aroma and appearance of this beer are superb. The aroma has signature roasted malts with just enough hops to balance. Pours a deep, dark brown with a thin offwhite head. The beer feels very thin on the tongue, and I like silky porters, so this is disappointing. Good roasted flavor, but not enough depth of flavor, and a nice balanced finsih.

As a porter alone this beer is pretty good and as a seasonal Christmas beer it is above average. Dark brown poor with a nice head. Definitely notes of coffee, caramel and even a little chocolate. Body is very smooth. Definitely a drinkable beer with that extra something you would expect added for a special holiday beer.

12oz. bottle from a seasonal sampler pack. Average porter, aroma of chocolate and caramel. Lots of chocolate and malt in the taste, but nothing overpowering and easy to drink. Doesnít really stand out amongst other porters but itís worth a drink. 10/20

Rich, smooth, and sweet, surprisingly good holiday beer from Sam Adams. Very nice chocolate and coffee overtones, too bad this brew is only available in the mix 12 pack.

Not much of an aroma, but what little there is is , nutty/slightly choc. Nice dark brown color. Flavor is again nutty, choc, hint caramel but overall not memorable. Decent enough but just short on too many counts.

This is a dark beer with a somelight light taste. It drinks much lighter than it looks! An aroma that can be described as ítypicalí, a full color with a good head. This is a good beer, not great - It doesnít have the bold taste you would expect; which could either be a positive or negative depending on your liking for porters.

Out of the bottle. Yet again a domestic beer that impressed me with its hearty flavor that wasnt as watered down as i thought it would of been. Honestly, you cant go wrong with sam adams brews they brew great beers. The holiday porter had a nice aroma i smelle hints of chocolate and coffee were most notable with me. Overall, It was a great beer and it surprised me with its quality. Enjoy.
