Samuel Adams Holiday Porter is a full-flavored porter inspired by the famous drink of London’s Victorian era luggage porters. Brewed with generous portions of Caramel, Munich and Chocolate malt, this hearty porter finishes with traditional English Fuggles and East Kent Goldings. Cheers!

Süßlich röstiger Beginn, weich, frisch. Deutlich brotig, die Süße nimmt zugunsten des Malzes ab. Röstig, etwas Kaffee. Im Abgang kurz säuerlich, Vanille. 8/11/11/10/10/11

Dark ruby color, small creamy expresso head. Sticky woody nose. Liquerish palate. Some toffee, a bit alcohol and coffee. Strange "porter", but good and interesting brew. Dessert drink.

A: The pour is a dark, dark brown with a small tan colored foam on top. There is some nice lacing on the glass as I enjoy this fine libation. S: The primary aroma is roasted malt, but there are some mild chocolate and vanilla notes in there as well. T: A fairly sweet beer for a porter. The roasted malt and coffee come through on the finish, but the initial tastes are chocolate and caramel. M: A medium bodied beer with a moderate level of carbonation. D: Like most of the other Sam Adams beers, a very easy drinker. I wish it wasn’t quite as sweet, but it’s still a decent beer and easy to have a few of in a sitting.

Aroma of dark smoky malt and dark fruit. Dark rich burgandy color, with a substantial tan head. Flavor of sweet malt (hint of smoke?) and then sour cherry, and then roasted malt with some hop finish. Love those fuggles. This porter could go all year round.

Bottle poured a clkear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee and light earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a lightly dry finishj. Flavors of bitter chocolate, carmel, charcoal and light vanilla with a smooth lightly dry lingering charcoal finish.
