Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Holiday Porter is a full-flavored porter inspired by the famous drink of London's Victorian era luggage porters. Brewed with generous portions of Caramel, Munich and Chocolate malt, this hearty porter finishes with traditional English Fuggles and East Kent Goldings. Cheers!

Poured a dark black with a slight ruby hue. There was a small tan head which dissipated quickly and left no lacing. It smelled like malt and chocolate with more of the same in the taste, with some added hoppy bitterness in the finish. Just an average porter in my opinion. I would drink it again, however I wouldn’t go out of my way to find it.

A clear deep dark porter with a huge moka head, with a nitrogen tap look to it (its a bottle though). Nice. Cold coffee and and chocolate in aroma, with butterscotch notes (good in this case). In mouth, rather nice rich bittersweet chocolate with burned coffee bitterness, and a decent medium body. A very decent porter.

Holiday sampler; into the pint glass went the very dark brown made it really feel like Christmas, hits the nose with wonderful complexity, sweet burnt caramel flavor, smooth, warmed me right up, great porter

Poured a really dark brown color with an off white head. Aroma was pretty weak but was mainly of chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor was also pretty wayerty. Nothing stands out, but nothing bad here. ok - sub par porter.

Bottle 12oz 08’. Pours black and has a nice roasty smell. Flavor balance lacks complexity and the body is lighter than I would like. Decent brew.

Thinner and more watery than I expected but it’s still pretty good. Sweet malt flavors of mocha and caramel. Very drinkable.
