jason (1476), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA May 10, 2008 Bottle. Poured a deep dark brown body with thin head. Aroma is a n ice mix of roast and hops. Flavor is a light roast, caramel and sweet honey mix. Light hoppiness noted and a tad too sweet for my Porter likings.
timsilvia32 (164), born in Michigan, North Carolina, USA Aug 4, 2008 Brown/black pour. A fairly standard porter with a little honey near and at the finish. A solid medium body. The hops help finish it a bit bitter and clean. Once again not bad for being mass produced. I think some of these ratings are low just because of that fact. Beershine (1131), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 4, 2008 Bottle. Mainly opaque dark brown with a reddish tint and a tan aerated head. Slight honey, vanilla cola, slight diacetyl. Thin, fizzy, gassy. Flavors beat the aromas. Nice roasted malt aftertaste following a not-to-sweet hint of honey. A little burnt in the finish. Decent supermarket beer. Much better as it warms up. Baumgartner (42), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA Aug 3, 2008 Bottle poured to glass. Smokey roasted malts aroma, with a hint of honey. Large creamy head. A little hard to judge appearance because I had to use an opaque cup. Sweet flavor up front quickly followed by a bitter hoppy and slightly acidic aftertaste. WakeandBake (12), Greenville, Michigan, USA Aug 3, 2008 Pours dark, looks pretty in my glass. There seems to be alot going on here,I get a chocolate, caramel, honey nose. Feels silky in my mouth, with a many facetted flavor, wood, smoke, honey, vanilla, chocolate, hops, malt roast mmmmmmmm, I plan to buy this again ,soon. joebudzjoe (85), USA Aug 2, 2008 Burnt honey aroma mixed in typical porter features; malts, but sweeter than your average porter. Moist palate.
