Slightly hazy honey color with white head that leaves a little lace. Sweet aroma with some spice. Nice tart flavor with a little hops and a sweet finish. Not bad.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 ounce bottle - $6.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a near clear, soft yellow-hued body with a medium-sized, frothy, white head. Good lacing.
Smell: A scent of lightly malted barley with a thin toasted edge, thinned honey, a tiny pinch of spice and some floral, lightly spicy tones with a modest apple-esque fruitiness about it.
Taste: A modest base of pale maltiness with a moderately sweet honey flavor curbed by the chamomile and just a smidgen of herbaceous hops. Some slight apple, pear tones showing as it warms. Drying as you approach the gentle finish with a lingering hint, perhaps, of orange blossom.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Granted, thereís not a ponderous depth of flavor to be had, but I did find it fairly enjoyable and drinkable, which is more than I can say of some beers.

slight malt, sweet aroma. golden in color with decent head. taste is light, faint honey taste, hints of citrus. this is clearly a honey flavored beer and not a mead. easy drinking

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours clear golden with a fairly thick, though effervescent, eggshell head. Aroma has firm honey and malty notes, rather different from other brews I have tried. Mead plus beer? Meer? Bead? Haw, haw, haw. Flavor has a nice balance of honey, malty and hoppy tones, distinctive and enjoyable. Gives me a buzz! (Which is why I am drinking this at home, not when I gotta drive!) Mouthfeel has OK body but more fizz than other meads I have tried thanks to the mating with beer. Catch the buzz - you wonít get stung.

Pours a pale amber with a frothy white head that lingers long. Nose is somewhat cider-like, with strong notes of honey and some mild floral notes. Taste is nicely sweet with a lightly tart finish. Medium body. Lively carbonation. Very pleasant, refreshing brew.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
draft that poured a golden yellow with white fluffy head. the aroma was mild malt and honey very predominant honey and herbs. the flavor for me was two fold. initially it was a nice mild honey flavor with hints of hops and an herbal note but the warmer it got the taste change to a cloyingly sweet syrup which I didnít care for. so for this best drink cold.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft to taster. Looks solid; a transparent gold with foamy white head. Smells of mild honey and hops. Tastes like it smells, but more robust, with pleasant notes of honey alongside a soft herbal presence. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and smooth with a touch of well-balanced bitterness from the hops. Solid, and tastes better than it smells.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Itís a bit on an intrigue, this beer because the sole braggot I had tasted before had a definite and forthright honey character. It looked the same clear golden colour with a thick collar of white head and had a distinctive honey note on top of cereal and flowers. This had a sweeter flavour to it than the Twisted Hop Honeydew of my memory. Both were/are characterful, elegant, lush and full-bodied beers. This is a throwback to memories of the old Twisted Hop and I cannot thank Sam Adams enough for this. A real mouthful of wonder.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
651 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, well retained, white head, with moderate lacing, over an effervescent, very slightly hazy dark yellow (SRM 4) body......nose is heavy floral honey, slight chamomile, light cereal, hints of herbal hops.....taste is sweet honey, chamomile, cereal malts, finishing almost dry with light herbal hop bitterness......mouth feel, light of medium body, slight alcohol warmth, carbonation adds tingle and light acid. The Braggot is a very different style in this world of malts and hops. It meets the style quite nicely, but the combination of chamomile and hops is a bit off in taste. The honey rescues the beer, but I wonder if a different additive such as rosemary, tarragon, or the more trite ginger, cinnamon, would make a difference. BJCP 7/3/13/4/7

Poured from a Bomber into a pint glass. Bought in Smyrna, GA.
Has a nice sweet aroma with a floral backdrop. The beer is a pale yellow color with a pretty big white head. It has a nice honey flavor that stays throughout the whole beer. this is a medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. A real good Braggot style beer.
