12 oz bottle: Aroma is big on malt and a caramel scent as well. Nutty, some alcohol wafting up into my nose as well. Appearance is a clear brownish/ Amber with a thin soapy tan head. Taste has a really robust and nice malt texture to it, a bit of smokiness, caramel, tree nuts, and a slight bit of alcohol in the flavor as well. Palate is somewhat sticky, medium carbonation, with a mixture of alcohol and malt textures in the aftertaste. Overall, It’s pretty good stuff from Samuel Adams. If it was a little cheaper I would get this often. Cheers!

Dark brown color. Modest head. Aroma and taste are sweet roasted malt. Little hop bitterness.

From bottle @BeerFest in Israel, deep red color with medium tan head, aroma of honey, whiskey, malt and vanilla, flavor is creamy with marmalade, burnt caramel and bitter powerful hoppy finish. Very nice

Bottle... Poured a deep reddish-ruby with a thin off-white head. Very sweet aroma of caramel and toasted, brown sugars with dark fruits. A little bit of malts that were very smokey with a smooth, sweet liquor quality. Dark prune or raisin flavors in the finish.

12 oz. bottle served in my dusty stein- poured dark brown with ruby and deep maroon tints when held to a light source, foamy off tan head formed but quickly bubbled away, lively medium carbonation. Aroma of burnt malt, dark caramel, and crude candi sugar. Hits the mouth with a wide medium body, malt tastes like it’s been burned, kind of a medicinial taste in the middle, finish has alcohol and cleans out your sinuses. Bit of a letdown- just tastes wrong to me.

Pours a clear copper with tan head. Aroma of caramel, toffee dark fruit. Taste similar with nice maltiness to balance out the booze. Sticky mouthfeel, a bit sweet. Decent anyways.
