Bottle from BevMo. Dark reddish copper color with an ok beige head. Aroma of roasted caramel. Full bodied with mild but sharpish carbonation. It’s rather sweet, progresses to roasted malt, shows a mild touch of coffee, has touches of likely noble hop. Heat is very well hiddden. Finishes towards dry/astringent with something like chocolate coating the mouth. It’s a variable beast. I think they have a good beer here.

Bottle from Hyde Park Wine. Poured dark brown hue with large light brown head that lasted most of the beer and had good lacing. Medium aroma of citrus and caramel. Medium to full body with creamy texture and soft carbonation. Full complex sweet flavor with medium sweet finish and small alcohol bite of moderate duration.

A dirty hazed brown bock with a thin mocha head. In aroma, loads of dark fruits, cherry liqueur, musty and powdery character, a bit cloying. In mouth, a sweet caramel and cherry drink, with warming alcohol, a bit lacking in body, but overall, interesting.

Just realized I forgot to rate this after looking at some of my old notes from last month. Brown pour with a smallish than head. Aroma is full of malt, caramel and some fruit. Flavor is very nice. I got some caramel, light milk chocoalte tones, some vanilla, and a very light touch of hops. Of the imperial series, this is the ONLY one worth drinking.

Bottle... Clear, deep copper lager with a small, creamy, off-white cap. Great retention. Vinous, malty aroma of tawny port, caramel, date and a suggestion of prune. Full-bodied and thick with soft carbonation. Sweet port and caramel with just a touch of prune. Sticky, sweet finish.
