1.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
The smell was interesting, I was initially intrigued. Really is a beautiful beer, loved watching it while it filled up my glass, like bubbly golden straw. Right when it enters your mouth you are just struck with a strong pungent burst, it discourages you from taking a large sip, I powered through and was not rewarded. It is really just disgusting. Too many flavors buying for your attention, and they are like steam rollers on your taste buds, they donít get along. Save your money and donít buy this beer, itís only good to look at. I ended up using 75% of the 24 oz bottle for cooking because I couldnít handle anymore awfulness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle originally picked up from Jungle Jims right off the truck in February 09 from notes. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have pale wheat malts, biscuits, banana, pears, citrus, mild spices, coriander, somewhat syrupy, warming alcohol, niceto see Sam Adams doing ssome bigger beers.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
"first off, the previous reviews, or the sum at least, seem a little harsh to me. while this brew has itís flaws, i enjoyed it, even though i wonít buy it again at $9-10 a 4-pack. again, the question is why. why take a style that is based on the delicacy of itís aroma and flavors and imperialize it? must be an american thing. anyway, i had and enjoyed the inperial stout well enough, so i gave the double bock and white a shot as well. i am not a fan of sam adams white, but right on the pour i knew this would be another animal alltogether. right of the bat, this white ale poured a hazy full orange, more resembling an imperial ipa than a wit. obviously, everything from the aroma, the body, to the flavor and finish were amped up citrus, yeast, and maybe coriander in there under the sticky sweet sugar. i enjoyed the aroma, and the flavor wasnít bad either, but the big sticky, and slightly too sweet body didnít work, and the alcohol became too prevelant by the end. not as bad as itís average, but definitely not worth the coin."

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle @ Chief Market / Lima OH --- Hazy dark amber, good 1" off-white head, curtain of lace. Taste is caramel malt that adds coriander and orange peel in the palate before turning slightly bitter in a finish that slowly turns to alcohol. A big witbier, but well-balanced and appealing.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Transfer from BA review from 6-6-12-
Poured from bottle into a snifter
Appearance Ė The beer has a hazy nice orange color with a thin white head. The head fades rather fast to leave only a small amount of lacing.
Smell Ė The aroma is of sweet bread and some nice orange citrus. There are good aromas of yeast as well as a nice boozy aroma which meld quite well with the rest of the aromas.
Taste Ė The taste starts out big and bready. There is a nice sweetness upfront which is mainly of orange citrus in nature. As the taste advances the citrus sweetness in enhanced with the bready flavor lightening a bit. The yeast flavor starts to build more toward the middle with some flavor of banana accompanying it. These flavors sweeten even more as the taste advances to the end where they are meet with an alcohol flavor that gives a slight burning/warming flavor on the mouth.
Mouthfeel Ė The body of this beer is on the creamier side with a carbonation level that is also on the higher side. The thick body suits the bready flavors well, while the carbonation complements the sweeter flavors well, with neither the body nor the carbonation really taking away from the beer.
Overall ĖWhile on the sweeter side, this is a nice flavorful imperial white. It is easy to drink and is at a good price. Sam does a wonderful job once again ad I would recommend this brew!!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a cloudy darker amber color with ivory head. Wheat, coriander, plum, and some spice on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with just a little bit of a bite from the alcohol.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orangish copper body with a one finger fizzy white head. The nose is very fruity and heavily spiced with some heavy pale malt and wheat. The flavor is pretty well just a crazy assault of coriander and orange peel with a big sweet pale malt and wheat base with a heavy alcohol presence. Thereís pretty well no subtlety going on in here at all. Just a little too much of everything. Heavy and clingy body with a warming alcoholic finish. I really canít get into this one too much.
