Commercial Description:
This rich and malty ale originated in Ireland in 1710. It has a deep red color and distinctive caramel flavor from its Pale and Caramel malts. The malt sweetness is balanced by the earthy notes of East Kent Goldings hops. Cheers!

Bottle courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Thanks Dave. Dark amber/red body with a very stiff tan head. Densely packed, it has good retention and some nice lacing. Good looking beer. Nose of fruit esters, dark malts, some floral hops, caramel and brown sugar. Flavor profile is very similar, it’s a good bit sweeter than the aroma, but I liked it. Medium bodied, this thing has a ton of carbonation which makes it fun to drink. Finish is sweet caramel malts, some brown sugar and floral hops. Good beer.

Bottle. Bright red-orange with short-lived tan head. Sweet raisin bread crust, malty aroma. Buttery entry, bready finish, sweet, could use boost in hop character and less of the butterscotch. In the end is disappointing, bordering on unpleasant.

12oz. bottle. Nice ruby red color. tan head that lingers. Not much of an aroma, slight malt in the nose that’s about it. Nice malt flavor with a little bitternes in the finish, pretty good.

12oz bottle: Pours a nice hazy ruby red color with an off-white head that quickly disappears. Aroma consists of a moderate yeast, roasted malts and a hint of caramel. Crisp, dry inital taste does give way to a little sweetness. A middle of the pack red in my book.

Had a nice killians start to it and than a sam adams boston lager finish to it. I don’t understand the falvor that is in EVERY one of their beers. This beer was awful.

12oz Bottle - Trade - Daknole
Aroma – Nice malt and hops aroma nothing to special.
Appearance – Reddish amber in color, clear with a light head.
Flavor – A decent Irish red beer this had a good malt use and the hops where subtle.
Palate – Good Mouthfeel, nice texture with a dry finish.
Overall – A decent beer this was nothing too special. Very average as beers go I was hoping for some more spice and special flavors. Not very earthy in my opinion.
