For this special release, we wanted to brew a flavorful winter IPA that captured the aroma of the season. This brought us to juniper berries, which add a slightly sweet, piney character. Complemented by citrus notes from American hops, this balanced IPA will brighten the holidays. Cheers!

Very interesting. Kinda sweet and somewhat refreshing. Not tiring as many IPAs but very nice to drink with mates.

bottle. Golden with small head. Very mild hops and a quasi-spruce sweetness. Pleasant and nice, but Iíd like a few more hops.

Sampled on 3/14/2014. This India Pale Ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium to large sized white/beige foamy head with good lacing and nice retention. The aroma is piney and grapefruity, malty and sweet. A medium bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and citrusy. The juniper berries are more evident in the taste than the aroma. Decent carbonation. Nice mild long lasting bitterness. Some herbal notes as well. Very drinkable IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Bottle: † Fairly full bodied shrubby IPA. † Not all that hoppy or bitter. † Has moreso of a shrubby bitterness, perhaps the Juniper? † Decent body. † Pretty damn shrubby overall. † Shrubby!!!

pours a clear amber red color with a thick fluffy white head. the aroma is floral, sweet, slight citrusy. the taste is very mild for an ipa. you pick up some mild hops, grassy, slighty acidic, very floral. not a bad beer.

Got a few of these as part of a variety pack at Christmas. The juniper does add an interesting flavor. It is kinda sweet and earthy at the same time. Not bad, but not necessarily something I would search out again.

Medium amber with nice head. Pleasant bitterness, but still smooth for an IPA. Juniper is not overpowering. Pretty good.

Not a big IPA fan, so perhaps this rating is a bit biased. However, as IPAs go, this was actually my speed. Not too hoppy or bitter and the juniper flavor added a nice touch. All and all, as IPAs go, a decent beer.
