IPA glass. The juniper blends nicely with the hops giving it a more mellow taste. Pours a clear amber with a huge head, lots of lacing.

12 oz bottle from the holiday sampler case. Pours with a minimum head and a yellow to tan color. Medium body with a nice finish of gin like tastes. A fun to try beer but perhaps only for one time.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clean amber look, with a small amount of head. Has a pleasing citrus/spruce aroma. Has a nice juniper like after taste that reminds me a bit of gin. Dissapointed by the lack of hoppiness for an IPA. Just average by my taste.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours golden with a thick white head that slowly dissipates. Good lacing. Aromas are malt, muted notes of pine and citrus. Malty flavors up front, notes of grapefruit, butterscotch, juniper berries. Decent hop bite. Creamy but light mouthfeel. Actually, this is a nice brew. It’s a rather malty IPA, lacking the typical floral hop aroma of most American IPAs and but has nice flavor and a decent hop bite. Very enjoyable. Sam Adams needn’t be ashamed of this offering. Not at all.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle- Pours mostly clear copper with a two finger head. Aroma is piney, sweet malt, juniper berries. The taste is lightly malty, not getting as much of the juniper as I thought, mild bitterness and a dry finish. Was hoping for more.

Bottle. Light amber with off white spongy head, pine aroma, bitter hoppy taste with pine like flavor, medium carbonation, long finish. Interesting IPA but reminds me of an aftershave.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
From winter sampler pack. Pours copper with white foam that leaves a fair amount of lacing. Decent nose of citrus and pine. Taste of some citrus and pine, but quickly goes to bitter hops - which I usually like, but something is a bit off here. Leaves a somewhat unpleasant, almost Listerine-ish, aftertaste. All in all, an ok IPA.
