COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For this special release, we wanted to brew a flavorful winter IPA that captured the aroma of the season. This brought us to juniper berries, which add a slightly sweet, piney character. Complemented by citrus notes from American hops, this balanced IPA will brighten the holidays. Cheers!

Tap at West Coast Brew Fest 2014. Pours amber gold with a white head. Aroma is juniper, but it made me think celery at first. Med body. Flavor is very "gin". Yeah! Really good!!!

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a burnt orange appearance with a cream colored head. Grapefruit / tangerine citrusy, mild caramel / toasted malty, kind of piney / herbal aroma. Chewy cracker / toasted malty, orange / tangerine, slight caramel, piney flavor. Fairly clean but not something I’d be inclined to drink again.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2014 12 ounce bottle from the winter mix pack. Pours a clear amber color with a large foamy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of juniper, pine, floral notes and mild toasted malts. The taste is big juniper notes, some pine, floral notes, a bit of stone fruits, citrus and faint caramel malts. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness, strong carbonation. Nice beer. 200th Mass. rating!

Pours a clear orange-gold color with a medium white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Floral aroma with hops and malt notes. Light to medium body with flavors of herbal hops, berries and pine. The finish is mildly bitter with a floral hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Variety pack bottle. Pours copper with off-white head. Nose was caramel malt, hops, mild florals. Tastes of caramel malt, piney floral hops. RReminds me a hybrid of boston lager and Noble pils.

Bottle. Pine and caramel malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet caramel malt and moderately bitter pine flavor. Light hint of juniper in the finish. Not bad.

Bottled. Poured clear, lighter orange with a nice cap of white head. The aroma picked up sweeter orange meat and bready malts with accents of juniper and orange peel.. a touch more sweetness than I was looking for, but it was enjoyable. The flavor found sweet, lightly grainy bready and pale malts at the core, with grassy bitterness, pine, and juniper twig bitterness around.. finished with tart orange peel and some tasty bitterness. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated.. OK feel and flow, but a bit too grainy and sugary. Aiight.

Bottle:   Fairly full bodied shrubby IPA.   Not all that hoppy or bitter.   Has moreso of a shrubby bitterness, perhaps the Juniper?   Decent body.   Pretty damn shrubby overall.   Shrubby!!!
