2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Looks and aroma are the best parts of the experience. Red hue good for the holidays. Fruity slightly pungent aroma with citrus. In fairness I’m not an IPA fan. ..Still not. Bitter finish, but average.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12fl oz bottle poured into a shaker. Cloudy orange doesn’t describe this adequately. There is so much yeast sediment that this thing is a frickin’ lava lamp! Caramel and biscuit aroma. The flavor is a bit cloying. Perhaps some cinnamon, definitely clove. A strange beer but not altogether awful.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a light amber color. Aromas of tart, bitter juniper with hints of veggies and malts. Flavor has a nice piney juniper bite to it, with a mellow malty flavor with a nice hoppy dry finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
From a 12 ounce bottle. Amber-gold with sediment and bubbly head. Hoppy nose, but the junper is there. Mid-bitter taste, clean finish. Bottle was give by a relative that ’donated’ their leftover Christmas beers that no one drank. I’m a fan.

Hops is not bad. Juniper is overwhelmed by the hops. Would have been better in a pale ale. Nice mouth and color. Bottle

12oz bottle -
This could have been called Schnozzberry IPA, or DragonScales IPA because it tasted like a plain, uninspired IPA to me. Junipers in name only. A pretty weak offering.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear amber color with a two finger white head. The head is big and fluffy looking, and fades very slowly over time to leave a great level of streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is nice and hoppy with lots of floral and spicy hop smells. The floral aromas are quite big and mixed with fantastic juniper berry smell giving it a slight gin like aroma. Some lighter malt and sweeter smells are there as well with a light grapefruit and sweet orange smell, which overall produce a rather soothing floral and juniper berry tea like smell.
Taste –While the aroma is quite big on the floral and juniper, the taste, at least in the front, is not. The taste begins with a toasted grain and grapefruit hop flavor. Along with these flavors are some sweeter tastes of tangerine. The juniper and floral flavors come more to fruition in the middle and to the end, with some of the tangerine flavors that were present upfront fading at the expense of some caramel tastes. The juniper and floral flavors get rather strong toward the end, mixing the nice grapefruit hop flavor, leaving a very pleasant, moderately sweet, but nicely floral and spiced hop flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel –The beer has a wonderfully thick and creamy feel for a brew of only 5.8 % abv with a carbonation level that is on the lighter side. The thicker body really accentuates the floral hop and juniper flavors of the brew really allowing them to shine.
Overall - This is a rather tasty brew overall with a nice floral and juniper flavor as well as a good feel all while still maintaining a rather easy drinkability. This is one I like, and would recommend. Rather nice.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
"Fresh off the bottling line I was hoping for a little more pop. Nice enough, but a pretty restrained ipa. Pine and light citrus, some Carmel malt backbone. Light on the palate with minimal bite."

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12 oz bottle into a tulip glass. The label lists the abv at 5.8% abv.
Appearance: From the pour I got a tall off white head which is thick and long lasting. This makes for very good lacing that coats the glass. The body of the beer has a deep golden / light amber color with good clarity and a few bubbles of carbonation.
Smell: In the nose I get pale biscuity malt with loads of fresh cut spruce, pine sap and sawdust. I am also picking up a spicy note as well which adds a gingerbread like character to the aroma.
Taste / Palate: It’s pale and light, almost watery up front at first. Biscuity maltiness lays down a base for a big hit of pine like hop flavor and bitterness to follow. Notes of juniper berries and fresh cut pine mix with a now gingerbread like maltiness before hop bitterness finishes and then lingers on the palate. Carbonation feels soft and the overall feel is smooth.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle poured into a sensory glass. Pours a nice reddish dark copper with a tall off-white head that slowly dissipates while leaving a lot of lacing.
Smells of juniper, honey, citrus, and piney hop notes.
Tastes just as it smells, nice hop presence up front and good bitter finish. In between, flavors of juniper run across the palate, giving it a slight gin-like taste. Nicely balanced between the sweet bread and juniper with the bitter hops.
Overall, a solid IPA, with the juniper being a nice touch, easy drinking enough to work in the warmer months, but heavy enough to fit in perfectly for winter consumption.
