COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For this special release, we wanted to brew a flavorful winter IPA that captured the aroma of the season. This brought us to juniper berries, which add a slightly sweet, piney character. Complemented by citrus notes from American hops, this balanced IPA will brighten the holidays. Cheers!

Looks and aroma are the best parts of the experience. Red hue good for the holidays. Fruity slightly pungent aroma with citrus. In fairness Iím not an IPA fan. ..Still not. Bitter finish, but average.

Variety pack bottle. Pours copper with off-white head. Nose was caramel malt, hops, mild florals. Tastes of caramel malt, piney floral hops. RReminds me a hybrid of boston lager and Noble pils.

On tap at West Coast Brew Fest. Pours amber with a rich beige head and an herbal aroma. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor with a lots of juniper.

Tap at West Coast Brew Fest 2014. Pours amber gold with a white head. Aroma is juniper, but it made me think celery at first. Med body. Flavor is very "gin". Yeah! Really good!!!

12 oz bottle from the Winter mix 12-pack. Not the first juniper IPA Iíve had, but perhaps the best. Contrary to expectation, this was not overly piney or harsh. The juniper was most obvious in the aroma, although citrusy hops dominate both the aroma and the flavor. Relatively low bitterness. Fine amber color with a decent head.

bottle - Clear amber-orange pour, small off-white head... it has a mild aroma with some citrus and a bit of pine. The flavor is moderately bitter with sweet caramel malt. Itís medium bodied and overall pretty good.

Poured clear amber with a 2-finger white head. Mild piney aroma with an earthy note. Medium body, a bit oily, with a lightly dry finish. Flavor of piney hops with a resiny note. Good, but wanted more from the juniper.

Bottle. Poured a light amber color with a pretty large, fluffy white head. Aroma was some pine, juniper notes, citrus body. Flavor was pine, juniper, biscuit malt notes. Actually pretty refreshing for a standard SA beer.

Oddly bitter. Viscous lookin. Candy perfume. Strong flat cloying & mouth coating. Difficult finish.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance had a slightly clear copper/bronze colored body with a full two finger white foamy head that rises a bit above the glass and dies within two minutes leaving some decent speckled clingy lacing gracing the sides of the glass The smell had piney hops, juniper with some toasted malt. The taste was resinous sweetness that comes across with the juniper pretty well, sweet sticky aftertaste and finish. The palate was about a light to medium, mostly sessionable, carbonation comes across smoother than most AIPAís but still good for the most part, and for me. Overall, this was a good AIPA that adds in a different element that Iím not used to having, way to go Sam Adams, Iíd have this one again.
