2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Fratto (2348) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JUL 7, 2011Bottle from the Pioneer Majestic. Light orange pour with a white head. Aroma is a little floral and not much else. Taste is a little spicy, maybe earthy, and awkward fruit.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 5/20 OKplus (549) - Oklahoma, USA - MAY 9, 2013
A - Pours a red copper with an off-white head that forms a descent collar. No lacing.
S - Not much. Some muted pungent earth, sesame oil, toasted white bread.
T - Musty wet grassy, lemon rind, earthy and herbal, off peach tea, malt. Finishes herbal with light bitterness.
M - Full side of medium bodied, great smooth carbonation.
This was my least favorite of the Deconstructed series. Just didn’t work well. Good looking and good mouthfeel though.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 madmitch76 (10000) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 8, 2013
15th June 2011 Clear amber beer, tidy white head. Light palate, crispy and fairly dry. Minerally and fresh. Well balanced. A little toffee in the malt. The hops, not surprisingly, are more bitter than fruity. Finishes crisp with a carbonated sting and a touch of bitter marmalade. All very English. An English bitter with the volume turned up!
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Narnad (1345) - Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA - DEC 16, 2012
Pours a deep red amber color, modest 1/4 inch bubbly, creamy head. Aroma has a very earthy, floral hops presence with a pretty sweet nose as a whole and some modest malt presence in the end. Flavor is very earthy, with a strong herbal presence up front but this quickly moves to a sweet, flowery middle. Body is light, crisp with a modest amount of carbonation. Overall a pretty good brew that isn’t overpowering of hops. Very smooth, even flavor and makes it extremely enjoyable to drink.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Huhzubendah (2005) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 21, 2012
The beer is orange and appears mostly clear. The off white head begins about an inch thick, settling at a quarter inch, leaving plenty of lacing on the pint glass. The aroma offers toasted bread, floral notes, subtle tea scents, as well as some earthy hops. The flavor is a balance of hops and malt, as is consistent with the other beers in this series. Earthy pine and resin. Decent. The finish offers some lingering hop notes. Medium bodied with appropriate carbonation level. Another mediocre IPA from Sam Adams.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 DrnkMcDermott (2631) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - MAY 23, 2012
I got the 12-pack last July and stashed it in the fridge with the idea of a video tasting comparing all six at once. Never got around to happening. Now it’s 10 months later, and I finally decide to just do two at a time. I’m comparing this to the Simcoe, both poured in Sam Adams glasses.
Pour: I got the whole bottle into the glass, with the foam puffing up just to the rim. Look is filtered amber with bit of floating sediment. Foam stays at the one finger level for some time.
Aroma: Less oxidized than the Simcoe. Hop aroma is greatly settled out.
Taste: Malts to the front now. Hops are only slightly present, just enough to keep the beer honest. Bit of earthy English hop, but just barely there.
Total package is a lighter mouthfeel, like an English bitter. A little too mild to stand as even an English IPA, but that’s my fault for not drinking it fresh.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 SDalkoholic (1812) - Chula Vista, California, USA - APR 1, 2012
Bottle from BevMo: Poured with a thin frothy layer of head while the liquid was a medium brass/copper color. As for the aroma, my nose is fooled with a heavier scent of caramel fashioned malts that hide the subtle hops that give off a minimum olfaction of pollen from a flower. The flavor is a slightly more hopped version of the Sam Adams Boston Lager and is somewhat bitterer. Other than that this addition is easily forgettable.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bozoNZ (715) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 9, 2012
A good colour and head, similar to the hallertau. Aroma heavy on the toffee. Malt balance too strong. Toffee and caramel heavy detracts from balance

12oz bottle thanks to mora2000.
Deep copper brew with some off-white head. Nose of herbal hops, apricot, and caramel - flavor is herbal as well with some earth and more caramel.
