4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 mrhoppy (902) - Santa Clara, California, USA - MAY 24, 2011very nice lite buttery aroma. Flavors are caramel, butterscotch, berries, sweet, hoppy. Packed with flavor but all within a light body. The complexity is really enjoyable. The bitterness satisfies the craving. The finish and mouthfeel stick with you way beyond the last sip. Also very interesting is faint cinnamon that weaves it’s way in and out as you enjoy it.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 OKplus (560) - Oklahoma, USA - MAY 9, 2013
A - Copper amber body with an active off-white head.
S - Buttery croissant bread, grassy hops, orange citrus.
T - Lemon grassy hops, peppery spice, toasted grainy malt, hints of artificial fruit in the background. The malt turns bready and sweet toward the end with the grassy hops holding on strong through the finish.
M - Medium bodied, crisp, medium carbonation.
This reminded me of an English bitter except for the malt. Doesn’t hold up as an IPA but good and interesting beer nonetheless.

15th June 2011 Clear and bright amber beer, good white head. Semi soft and semi dry palate. Fresh orange hops but with a bitter edge that keeps going. Dry finish with a carbonated sting. Nice orange!
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Huhzubendah (2007) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 29, 2012
The beer appears clear and orange to copper in color, with a dense inch of off-white head. Plenty of lacing clings to the pint glass. The aroma offers hops, lemon zest, malt, pine. Decent flavor, with additional notes of toasted bread. Another balanced IPA, this one has a healthy malt presence. Lingering bitterness, with pine, toast, and dank hops. Medium bodied, with solid carbonation. Overall, a decent beer, but not a great IPA. One of the better beers in this series, in my opinion.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 DrnkMcDermott (2632) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - MAY 30, 2012
Once again, I let these sit in my fridge since last July, expecting to do a grand YouTube comparison of all 6 at a time. It wasn’t to be. So I’ll strain myself into just doing two at a time. Tonight its Zeus and Hallertau.
The Hallertau kicks up a robust head over bright copper beer. The bubbles pop away, releasing a fragrant hop aroma that seems more American now. A few more minutes, and it shows a bit of peppery German hop, as in "normal" beer smell. Taste starts with a nice malt texture, and a separate thread of hop bitterness on the top of the tongue. Despite the noble hops, it has a definite APA character, aided no doubt by the darker malt bill. Hop bitterness settles to the soft palate in back of my mouth. These two left a much better impression than the EKG and Simcoe versions I’d tried before.

Bottle from BevMo: Created a thick fluffy topping of frothy head while the liquid was a dense copper color. In the aroma, there is a subtle usage of hops that smell somewhat zesty, but there is a balancing nose of Sammy styled malts too. The flavor is sweet and yet bitter with a notice of honey and a thick taste of tea. There’s also a minor hint of the signature malts that are always found in Sam Adams beers.

Rich copper, brilliantly clear. Nice head. Muted aroma not offering much. sweetness up front which gives way to a standard pale ale bitterness. Lingers a bit. Just a good average drinking pale style

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BillWyce (539) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 11, 2012
From notes: Poured clear orange-amber, with a thick, creamy off-white head. Aroma was mild and lemony. Medium-bodied, medium depth. Mild lemony taste up front with a pine note that shows in the middle and lingers nicely in the finish.
