COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our new 2013 release features Mosaic hops, a new hop from the Pacific Northwest. They add a burst of citrus notes to the distinctive layers of German, English and other American hops, all from growing regions near the "hop belt" of the 48th Latitude. Cheers!

12 oz. bottle. Pours deep amber with a two finger off white head that hangs around awhile. Head eventually recedes leaving some nice lace. Sweet, tropical fruit aroma with undertones of bread. Flavor leans towards sweetness with more fruit flavors. Some pine resin sharpness in the flavor that keeps the sweetness in check. Full bodied with a lingering bitterness.

easy favorite of the releases Iíve had. tropical fruity goodness...enough to get through what was an ok but pedestrian IPA release.

Aroma: candied pineapple and guava nose. Taste: sweetness seems to come from hops. A little cloying in the palate Overall: nice citrus forward IPA. A little heavy but pretty balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This my 2nd deconstructed version and Iím not noticing much of a difference. Toffee/caramel malts are too sweet and hops arenít showcased enough. Not even average.

Way too sweet for me. Not enough bitter to balance. Remove this hop, get something different in lat 48.

Bottle at home in CT - picked up at Stateline, pours clear copper with a creamy, off-white head. The nose has ripe melon, orange, some pine. Medium sweet flavor with crackers, lightly toasted malts, some dry caramel, ripe orange, citrus rind, light leafy and piney bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with sweet, bready malts, a bit more caramelisation of the malts, mild pine bitterness, some earth, alcohol, orange rind, grass. Not bad but perhaps a little faded.

Bottle:   Soft sweet citrus pith and peel, a touch of sweet tobacco.   Moderately sweet, make that fairly sweet.   Low bitterness.   Soft pith and peel linger.   Very light bitterness.   Smooth and easy drinking.

Draft pour at special brews. Pours a copper color with no head really. Kind of a tropical aroma with some malt. Sweet malty flavor with a bitter hop finish that is a little overpowering. Decent IPA here, but not a real standout.

Copper in color, very clear. The head almost completely disappears, but it gives a frosty reminder of its presence on the side of the glass. The aroma is bread crust, touch if spicy rye. Hops are resinous, but dry, like an oak table; sawdust? Itís overtly woody, but like older, carved wood. Stained wood. The flavor is more stained oak; rye bread spices. Touches of soil-covered oranges and earthy tangerines. Creamy feeling, a little prickly. Itís a very solid pale ale; this might have been an above-the-line IPA about 8 years ago, and just because itís at-the-line now doesnít mean itís a lesser beer.
