COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our new 2013 release features Mosaic hops, a new hop from the Pacific Northwest. They add a burst of citrus notes to the distinctive layers of German, English and other American hops, all from growing regions near the "hop belt" of the 48th Latitude. Cheers!

Copper pour with a 1 finger, creamy off white head. Aroma of biscuit, toast, light caramel, toffee, citrus, floral and spicy hops. Flavor is a little faint up front, but not bad, toast, caramel and fruity hops, followed up by floury grain, citrus, spicy, floral, a hint of pine and cat box. The finish is a nice bitter grapefruit, meets pine buds with a a little caramel. Light, dry body with a slightly creamy feel on entry, moderate, blanketing carbonation. Good stuff, lots more bitterness than I would have expected, I wonder if this will be replacing Latitude 48 this year or if it is only for the HopOlogy mix pack.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a reddish amber color with a thick off white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, citrus, caramel malt and Sam Adamís house yeast. Flavor is medium bitterness with a lot of mosaic hop fruitiness. Mild caramel notes. Medium bodied, finishes bitter. This is ok.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Clear orange beer with a small white head. Peachy and hoppy aroma is strong. Flavour is quite sweet with soft maltiness and peach. Decent bitterness as well. Gets a bit worse when warmed up.

Solid, if modest head. Starts with some webby lace. The color is light amber/dark gold color. Pleasantly mellow crystal malt/floral hop aroma. This is a very easy to drink IPA. It has all of the traditional elements--strong malt start to the taste, notable white-pepper hop swallow and finish, and a decently full body. Moderate carbonation.

12 oz bottle poured into my IPA Spiegelau glass- Pours copper orange with a nice two finger creamy head and a cascade of carbonation bubbles rising to the surface. The aroma is citrusy, spicy hops, floral. The taste is spicy hops, citrus is in the background, earthy. The body is medium, these hops impart a dense earthy feel that I am not a huge fan of, carbonation is fairly high. I have a hard time comparing to the other Latitude 48 IPAís since It has been months since I last had them, but this is definitely not in the running for my favorite.

12 oz bottle from the Fall Variety pack. Aroma is citrusy, Kool-Aid powder, earthy, perfumy, floral. Pours clear copper with a large beige head that laces the glass really nicely. Taste is earthy, citrusy. Crisp and refreshing. Medium body, average carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Nice IPA that diverges from typical Pacific NW examples.

It is amazing how a hop can change the profile. This was different than what I expected. The aroma was not strong and woodsy. The color was a dirty golden amber color with a nice head. The weight and carbonation were average. The flavor was blended and unique, almost spicy and earthy. Unique but not my favorite of this series.

(bottle - 12 oz) Slightly hazy orange pour with a fluffy white head. Big citrusy sweet hop aroma that Iím coming to love a lot more than your run of the mill dry bitter hops. Sweet and fruity hops at the start with lots of citrus and almost candy notes. Moves to a bitter middle and a bitter finish but still keeps that citrus and pine resin flavor.

Poured from bottle into a schooner glass, part of the 2013 Fall season mix-pack. It poured a mostly clear orange-ish amber colour, slight chill haze, with short-lived white foam. Great American IPA hoppy notes, presumably coming mainly from the Mosaic: citrusy, grapefruity, juicy fruit gum, pine resin, tomato plant and some classic noble earthy, peppery, flowery aspects too. Solid grainbill underneath: crisp, malty, faint caramel, tasty but nothing too notable which might get in the way of the hops. Light body, strong carbonation, well-rounded mouthfeel, long-lasting fruity and bittersweet aftertaste. Really tasty, canít believe this came in cheap mix-pack from the grocery store. The Boston Beer Company does a great job of keeping the widely distributed beers from tasting mass-produced.

I might not be the most partial when it comes to rating IPAs, even when it is a Sam Adams, but I was not a big fan of this beer. The pros: very hoppy flavor. The Cons: bad aftertaste, less-than-good taste overall. Again, Iím just not a fan of IPAs.

Bottles. Bright amber color with ivory head. Nice citrusy, spicy hop, pale malt aromas. medium body, average carbonation. Crisp, spicy , citrusy hop flavors with a solid toasted malt base---very tasty IPA
