COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our new 2013 release features Mosaic hops, a new hop from the Pacific Northwest. They add a burst of citrus notes to the distinctive layers of German, English and other American hops, all from growing regions near the "hop belt" of the 48th Latitude. Cheers!

Bottle: The aroma consists of caramel, citrus, and earthy notes. It pours a transparent amber with a two finger off-white head that eventually settles to a thin film. There’s a good amount of sticky webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of caramel and light fruit. The finish has moderate grapefruit with just a touch of spice. It’s light-medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation. Overall, I’d say it’s in the middle of the pack as far the other hopped versions. I preferred the Zeus and Simcoe versions.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Giannone, 5/10/13

Aroma: The nose has herbal, pine, and citrus hops, caramel, and toasted bread
Appearance: It pours reddish-orange color with a beige head and heavy, coating lace
Flavor: Tastes lightly sweet, with a bit of fruity flavors, a nice malty presence, and a clean hop finish
Palate: The body is medium, it has average carbonation, and a clean, dry finish on the mouth
Overall Impression: This is a really solid IPA for sure. It’s not an absolutely standout, but it absolutely hit my expectations (and then some). Personally, I enjoyed this one more than the previous recipe.

Copper, clear, persistent white head. Aroma of honey-sweet malt with some toast, big hop aroma bright and lemony with sweet, fruity tangerine, a little spruce. Flavor is very similar with a little caramel sweetness and fruity, citrusy hops, a little lingering bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours orange copper with a small white head. Smells of citrus and tropical fruits. Taste is bitter, lightly fruity, and light on the citrus with a solid sweet malt backbone. Medium-bodied with a wet texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Samuel Adams Latitude 48 Mosaic IPA finishes with a soft, gentle bitterness.

Bottle: Bright copper color, modest beige head. Nice aroma of citrus and pine, lightly sweet, but potent with hops. Taste is good, but the maltiness subdues the hop whallop I anticipated from the aroma. Overall a solid offering.

Bottle; poured a nice, slightly dark orange color with a small to medium off white head. Aroma of earth, fruit, citrus, and caramel; definitely a NW aroma. Flavor was smooth and quite drinkable, showing a nice balance and complexity. The NW hop flavor profile shines through, with some balancing notes of caramel and a touch of toffee. Finish is nice and long. Very nice.
