3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Unremarkable brown pour with a minimal cap. Aroma is as impotent as the American hockey team in Sochi. Ouch. Assumed this was gonna be an unremarkable IPA & it pretty well is. There are more hops on the label than in the bottle. And yet ... It is an enjoyable, not too complex sessionable guzzler, with an unexpected citrus peel twang in the finish to keep things interesting.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2013-02-07. Lightly hazy dark orange body with a small beige head. 3+ Aroma is lightly musky, mild fruity hop character. Sweet orange and tropical fruit notes. Flavour is mildly bitter throughout, green leafy hops with sweet notes of mango and tropical fruit. Mild caramel notes to the underlying malt core. Average plus bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Decent but a tad on the mild side. Bottle from the LCBO, Toronto

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Deep orange colour with white head that does not last. Caramel, bread, citrus aroma. Bitter taste with little grapefruit flavour. OK, but not great.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Eh. Not the best IPA in the world. This IPA was unimpressive to say the least.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Not a big IPA fan, but Sam generally puts together decent IPAs that are palatable. Nothing really special about this beer. If you are looking for the strong IPA flavor(Dogfish), this isn’t your beer. It’s an inclussion in a variety pack for me, none of which goes to waste.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Modest head but it lasts. The color is a deep amber and very clear. Leaves a blanket of lace.
Pleasant floral hop presence. Caramel malt with a modest sweetness.
Perhaps the most biting bitter beer from Sam Adams. There’s a good caramel beginning but the swallow and aftermath is all peppery hop. Standard body.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sam Adams is probably my favorite "everyman" beer, and this IPA is no exception. Its hoppy sure, but whats nice is its something you can offer anyone and they will enjoy. Not amazing, but always consistent.

Bottle. Pours deep caramel with a white head that lingers. Light carbonation over medium hop aroma. Medium hop flavor with decent complexity.

Klar, kobberfarget med medium beige skumlag. Lukter sitrus og skog, smak av grapefrukt, karamell, honning? og sitron. Medium kullsyre, lite bitterhet. Kort men god ettersmak.
