4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
To me, the aroma says "You’re about to drink some good beer here". Pours a beautiful copper with a persistent quarter inch head and outstanding lacing. Tastes bright and hoppy with a creeping long lasting, slightly bitter aftertaste. This beer is right in my wheelhouse. Love it!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Rich amber color, light beige spongy head, floral hops aroma, hoppy taste, fizzy, long finish. Lovely IPA for summer, not so biting and well balanced.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
pours clear golden with a frothy light beige head, good retention and lacing. grainy, toasted cereals and nutty caramel, citrus and pine, bitter herbs and spicy earthiness, decent fruitiness - some peaches and a hint of sweetness, tobacco. average carbonation, light body, slightly harsh medium long citrusy-piney finish. ok.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pleasant IPA, the aroma didn’t jump out even with a somewhat frothy head. The difference here is that the hops come off sort of delicate, softly fruity, developing though the middle and finish. A nice little change from the hammerhead hopping in many American IPAs.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The range and quality of Samuel Adams never cease to amaze me. Latitude 48 IPA is a masterly brewed beer, and it is just jawdroppingly good in every way. Lemon and black pepper with a front bust of delicate hops (plural), this sure is a complex piece of art. Slick on the palate, lively carbonation and a good long hoppy aftertaste. I’m becoming a fan of this brewery.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Avrashi. 2013 edition. Clear deep golden-red with white head. Nice hoppy floral with tropical fruit aroma, soft bitterness that becomes more apparent in the finish. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, light body, hoppy finish.

Medium orange-amber body, medium sized white head, soapy lacing. Mellow resin, grass, citrus and pine. Lacking punch. Medium bodied, light bitterness, assertive carbonation, soft finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Batch from 2013 with the mosaic hops. Pours a clear copper color with a thin off white head. Smell of spicy pine and grass. Taste is of caramel malts with a spicy pine and citrus flavor. Decent ipa but too malty for the style in my opinion.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample bottle from LCBO didn’t buy the 6 pack just 1 bottle. Pours a dark amber color smaller 1 finger white head. Aroma is surprising not very floral or citrus almost a faint grassy note. Mouthful though you get the citrus, some nice hoppy note, trail off to the bitter tinge. This is a smooth overall beer IPA not too bad and not overpowering.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours an opaque amber with a half finger of off white head and decent carbonation. Nose is very hoppy and sweet. A strong resinous presence with a slight fliral. No citrus going on here. Mouth has much more of a citrus presence. Hops are present, but not overpowering by any means. Very simple IPA, nothing special.
