Innocent yet beguiling, this hazy golden brew appears to be a classic wittier with its bright notes of orange citrus & coriander, but there’s a bit more mischief up its sleeve. Behind its sweet exterior lies an intriguing blend of white sage and rye for an earthly, spicy, and thoroughly refreshing brew.

Got a 12 ounce bottle from the Sam Adams summer mix pack. Pours a hazy gold, with white head. Aroma of sage, coriander and spices. Taste is complex: oranges, coriander, and maybe a hint of Rye. Well blended and drinkable. Not my favorite, but not too bad.

A hazy dark gold brew with a citrus and coriander aroma. Tastes like a heffeweizen with lots of orange zest in it. That was about all I could taste at first was orange and coriander. Had to really let it set to even pick out the sage. If there is rye in it the coriander overpowers it so bit of a waste using rye. It is a good brew overall and worth drinking.

Bottle from a summer mix box at the in laws for 4th of July. Pours a pale to light yellow with big head. Aroma is Belgian spice and a sage bomb. Sage again goes in every which way in the taste. Nice for a summer coastal California day. Not great but fine to drink from the bottle when it is free.

Golden color with white head. Citrus coriander and save aroma. Crisp citrus and corriander flavor with sage finish. Different but good.

Another solid but unremarkable seasonal from Sammy. Clear light golden pour, medium carbonation. Nose of grain, citrus, and modest rye. Wouldn’t have pegged this as a wit, since the combo of elements gave it a moderately hoppy impression. Taste is unassuming, with kind of perfunctory rye, thankfully modest sweetness, and a reasonably dry finish. Okay.

Have to be in the mood for it. Decent aroma, bit of a bitter taste. Not one of my favorites Revere Stryker dog!

Bottle at Halls B-Day party. Pours a nice golden color with thick bubbly white head. Aroma hint of citrus but also hint of an organic earthy smell. Taste is intriguing, starting off as a nice light wittier, however finishing with the bite of rye and hint of sage. Carbonation really compliments the taste here, decent beer.

Not much to the appearance, but the smell intrigues. Certainly a spicy beer, smells like an old spice rack in the best of ways. The taste continues on in the same manner with plenty of fizz. I found this in the Sam Adams 2013 summer variety pack, but haven’t seen anywhere else.

12 oz. bottle served in shaker- poured a non transparent and mildly turbid, no head and no lacing, extremely light and faint carbonation. Aroma of band aids, sage, earth underneath peat moss that was freshly dug up, and peppermint- highly unappealing. Hits the mouth with a light body, a harsh medicinal taste intertwined with sage hits you hard at the start and tries to take over the entire mouth feel, middle becomes a lemon cough drop, finish just drops off a cliff. Rye can be found, but you really have to sift through the layers of shit. Drain poured the rest of the six ounces as well as the other bottle- Definately will not buy again.
