Innocent yet beguiling, this hazy golden brew appears to be a classic wittier with its bright notes of orange citrus & coriander, but there’s a bit more mischief up its sleeve. Behind its sweet exterior lies an intriguing blend of white sage and rye for an earthly, spicy, and thoroughly refreshing brew.

Pours golden with a thin layer of white bubbles. Aroma is spicy sage and coriander. Flavor is sweet with lots of sage and coriander. Lingering spice in the finish.

Bottle, my third from this summer beer case ... none of which have floated my boat. But this one is at least quaffable. Light golden, active, but with absolutely no head. The coriander dominates the aroma in a big way. But this drinks like a light, made-for-the-masses Witbier knockoff, as easy for a Shocktop drinker to drink as that ... Wouldn’t seek it out, but better than the other two I tried tonight. (#5060, 6/18/2013)

Pours a hazy gold showing a small unfiltered affect with a small head leaving light lacing. Aromas of clove, wet earth, coriander, and sage. The sage and coriander really come out in this brew. Finishes with an herbal sweetness. One of the best Sam Adam’s I’ve had in a while.

Summer thirst quencher. Orange peel is very prevalent. Would not go out of my way for this beer.

Rated on 6-13-2013 (Bottle) This beer pours a small white head that mostly diminished, no lacing, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, hazy body, and a straw hue. The Aroma is malty, orange fruit, sweet, earthy, spicy, coriander, and citrus. The Taste is sweet, malty spicy, citrus, and light rye. The Palate is smooth and this is a light-medium bodied beer. Overall, this beer is quaffable, a session beer, needs more flavor, and is somewhat a summer thirst quencher. However, this beer did not leave me wanting more.

Pours fairly clear golden with a white head. The aroma has lots of spice (rye and otherwise), cinnamon, lots of coriander and maybe a touch of beer underneath - spice really dominates. It has a medium smooth body with mild sharp carbonation. The flavor begins with the spices up front and center like the aroma with the coriander still being very heavy. The malt seems more toasted and rustic than a normal wit as well. The finish is quite phenolic. This is decent, but the spice overshadows the other aspects to me.
