COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Innocent yet beguiling, this hazy golden brew appears to be a classic wittier with its bright notes of orange citrus & coriander, but there’s a bit more mischief up its sleeve. Behind its sweet exterior lies an intriguing blend of white sage and rye for an earthly, spicy, and thoroughly refreshing brew.

Bottle, 12oz. An unclear, golden body with a dense, two-finger off-white head. Some lacings. The aroma is rather soapy, in a ginger-like way. Wheat, coriander and citrus peel, orange. Ok, reading the commercial description, I see there’s white sage in it too, that most definitely makes sense. Medium body, lightly sweetish, with a nice carbonation level. Spices. citrus and wheat in the flavor, some bitterness kicking in towards the end. A quite decent beer, but I can’t say I really appreciate the experimentation, it is too spiced I think. 130819

Orange in color with a white head. Nose isn’t too bad at first. Some spicy coriander and pepper, sage, and lemon. Bread, light malt sweetness, and earthy hops. The flavor is almost medicinal with the sage, particularly as it warms. Coriander, citrus peel, lemon, and bread. Lightly sweet up front, earthy hops, and a somewhat bitter finish.

Bottle poured a clear gold with a lasting off white head. Aromas of rye, sage, coriander, lemon zest and orange zest. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of rye, sage, coriander and citrus with a smooth dry lingering spiced citrus finish.

Yellow pour, standard white head. This was pretty rough around the edges. Dirty spice, watery malts, spent grain, not much hop flavor. Meh.

Bottle @ home. Pours a clear golden orange appearance with a small, cream colored head. The sage is very potent in the nose with a potpourri-like element along with some coriander and citrus notes. Slightly spicy, wheat, a bit chewy grainy, potpourri/lavender, floral, slightly citrusy flavor. Not sure I like the sage addition, as it really overwhelms most of the other notes.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a medium sized white head. Decent head retention. Big spicy rye aroma along with thyme and other herbal notes. The taste is pale malts, sage and rye. Light bodied. I could use a little more balance here as the spice dominates.

Bottle from summer variety pack. Poured gold with off-white head. Nose was pale malt, hopcitrus, a lot of spice, including sage and coriander, and a lot of orange zest. tasted like a super zesty, super spicy witbier.

This beer pours a hazy dark golden color with a medium white head that dissipates gradually. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of citrus, spice and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, citrus and toasted malt. The finish is fruity with a citrus and spiced hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
