COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Created by Corey Martin.
Corey has been working on his Munich Dunkel for some time and the result is this amber, medium-bodied brew. With a nice malty backbone, this lager has roasty, slightly spicy notes and a traditional doughy character from the yeast. It is well worth the time he took to perfect it.

Bottle. Pours clear, dark amber with nice beige head. Aroma has subtle hints of toast, malt and hints of mocha. Flavor is very much the same with a nice light sweetness, a hint of toffee that follows with a subtle spiciness. Light-medium body with high carbonation. Overall, solid brew!

12 oz bottle. Pours deep amber with a small creamy white head. Aroma is sweet and malty, nice rich malt character, some dark fruit and some doughy notes. Flavor starts with some soft doughy notes, picking a more crisp dark fruit note that remains along with some soft cocoa in the finish, Medium body and a crisp carbonation. Medium body. Nice dunkel.

The beer pours a medium to dark brown with a large tan head. The aroma is very malty with a ton of toffee and biscuit malt. The flavor is more of the same. The toffee and caramel malt really stands out. There is also a little bit of grass and some lightly toasted malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very clean tasting and easy to drink.

Pours a reddish amber color with a medium tan head that faded quickly with light lacing. Smells of dough, dark chocolate, caramel. Tastes the same ad what I go on the nose with an added peppery note. Mouthfeel is heavy and pretty chewy. Overall this is a pretty solid dunkel with a lot of good flavors.

Pours very dark brown with a dark red hue and a tan head. The aroma has dark caramel, thick smooth malt, toffee, mild anise, roast and thick lager smoothness. It has a medium body that starts creamy then finishes with a sharper aspect due to the semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor is much like the aroma with a touch of syrup qualities, but it doesn’t make it cloying at all. The finish throws in some red berry aspects. This is not my favorite style, but is a very respectable dunkel.

Nice rich brown coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of deep toasted malt, a bit of coffee, some strong caramelised sugars, a bit of pit fruits and a good nuttiness. Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavour with some burnt flavours, a bit of light earthiness, some metal and a hint of light coffee - but mainly the malt and the toffee comes through. Aftertaste is nice and relatively light - no sharpness and no bitterness, just a pleasant malt kick with good sugars. Overall, a very nice dunkel with some good complexity and a good bell curve of a flavour profile. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle from the LongShot six pack purchased at Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 01-August-2012 for US$8.99/6pack sampled at home in Washington on 19-August-2012.

Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a excellent dark roasted caramel malt. Flavor is the same but not as intense. Big roasted malt with a lot of sweetness and roast towards the end. Nice showcase of the malts. This is a fine example of the style.
